America once was a glorious country that spread from shining sea to sea, a country whose paramount promise was freedom, whose citizens were each overflowing with a new found patriotism, and whose government was reasonable and fair, greed somehow never finding it's way in. But overtime the good of the country eroded and the once loved place became a war-inflicted hate-filled nation, the deputes that erupted within it causing it's own demise.
The president had had enough of the wars and battles and, along with the help of the military, sent the entire country on fire, burning it down until nothing was left but ruins. They saw this as some sort of fresh canvas, a platform for which they could build a new government upon. The high ranking government officials managed to survive the fall of their homeland, and began to rebuild the once great nation, though they made some rather significant changes. They had a rather morbid idea, to implant expiration dates on the new nation citizens. This would be their death date, 25 years from their birth, making each person like a ticking time bomb. They experimented on what was left of the normal humans, though they ending up doing exactly the opposite of what they set out to accomplish. Instead of setting an exact closer due date or death for these few people, they completely erased their day of death, making them immortals. Somehow this group of average citizens, now known as "The Immortals" escaped from the government, and now is only a local legend.
Only after that did they get their plan right. Fusing their ideas with science, they implanted each newborn with an expiration date, a day on which they would suddenly fall to the ground dead. Each human is born with a certain amount of time on earth, 25 years to be exact.
By killing another human being, you drain their time and it is added to your own, but for each human you only get 1 more year added to your original date. After several years the people of the new nation discovered this and suddenly the new world exploded in chaos. Mass murder was a popular thing, and humans lay dead on the street, their eyes coming out of their sockets, the blood being drank for a source of water, the government too preoccupied with all the troubles on their plate. Some of the more savage humans are now practically immortal, running around killing people. You can choose who you want a be: a classy citizen with only 25 years to complete everything in your life, 25 years to accomplish all of the dreams you have ever had. Your time is limited and it's up to you how you spend it.
Although most of the citizens either spend their days hiding.. or killing, a selective few are searching for a way to escape their fate without murdering all their friends. These few people still believe in the immortals and have been searching for them for quite some time. It is said that these immortals know how to change the expiration date, that they have the ability to change the times.
Will you be the psycho killer, murdering anyone just for the chance of immortality? Or perhaps a frightened citizen, never leaving their home in fear of their lives being drained away?
