"Yeah, at least we had each other through school," Georgia smiled.

Aster blushed and said," I need to get you home now."

((Should Vivian and Ichigo go home too?))

((Alright, So should I have Vivian come to the Art History Room?))

Aster smirked and let her hand linger on her wife's thigh then go under her skirt. "Oh, already?" Aster rubbed two fingers against her and then licked the liquids off her fingers. She got out and started walking toward the door.

Shade walked with her head held high and her back pack on her shoulders. The vinyl covering on her backpack seemed to slip off every few seconds, but she kept it up high, the text books weighing down heavily. Her dark brown almost black hair seemed to shine in the flourescent light as she walked down the corridor. The hallway was deserted except for the few students that had loitered in the hallway talking with friends and were now quickly making their way to class. Shade on the other hand, hadn't been talking with friends, did she really have any? She did, a time ago, but not anymore. At the beginning of the school year she had met a boy, his name long erased from her memory. He had given her a book that entailed a BL romance which had been quite entertaining to say the least. He had introduced her to the love of theater, but after that, it seemed as though he had ventured off with other people. Did that hurt? Yes, but she had become numb to that pain weeks ago. She gripped her bag strap harder as she walked into the History classroom. Throwing her bag down next to her designated desk, she threw open her notebook and began to hurriedly scribble down what resembled notes so that the teacher wouldn't reprimand her for sleeping in class like she always had ever since the start of the school year.

Claudia, or Cake as her friends called her, walked through the hallway. She was wearing the required uniform, beneath an oversized gray hoodie. She had sneaked out before her sister could say anything about it and ran to class. She was just going to make it to second period, Claudia had completely missed first. After the long weekend it was hard to get back on track, and she didn't really want to go today. Her depression was overriding her thoughts, it had been a rough night. She pulled her hood over her head and then walked into her History classroom. Without looking around much she sat down in an empty seat near the back, she dragged out a notebook, pen, and her textbook. If she was lucky the teacher wouldn't even show up. Hah. She never had as good of luck as that. A sigh escaped her lips and she finally glanced around the room.

message 59: by [deleted user] (new)

Shade heard footsteps entrapped in the hallways and smirked to herself. So, I'm not the last one. Lucky me. Shade thought to herself devilishly. Slowly she raised her head and looked to where the student had gone. A girl. Shade didn't know what to think, but she had really only cared for herself, but instantly regretted it. The teacher hadn't even shown up yet and they were already 10 minutes into the class. Shade looked around nervously and then tore a page of the notebook she was writing in, scrawling in pen on it "Fashionably late, huh? Welcome to the club. Looks as though you were studying and the teacher won't bite your head off" She hastily folded the note up and slid it across the table to the girl. Turning back to her notebook, not giving any acknowledgement to the girl after that she began to doodle in the notebooks, her mind taking off to a seperate place from this school, but her heart pounding in her chest, worried for absolutely no reason at all other than the teacher would catch her being late to class, though it was virtually impossible.

Claudia was writing a report that was due for English when a note was slid her way, she looked up to see a girl going back to a notebook. She rose a blonde brow and pushed her hood off her head. Claudia opened the note and read it quickly, she took her pen and wrote back, Thanks. Yeah it was a long weekend so I slept in. Bleh. I'm Claudia by the way. she folded the note back up carefully. She risked a glance around the room, no one seemed to be paying them any attention so she slid the piece of paper back to the girl. Then went back to her report, it was a book report on Pride and Prejudice. Sure she had enjoyed the book, it was a classic. But she was itching to read something she hasn't read at nine years old.

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

It wasn't until a couple minutes after the piece of paper was on her desk and she took it up in her hands. She opened it tenderly and smiled. It wasn't the response she had been expecting, but that made her smile. She picked up two different colored pens from her bag (blue and purple) and wrote back hastily "You got some guts to sleep in. You have some spunk, I like that. I'm Shade. Pleasure to meet you in this formidable time when we both aren't in detention for being late" She couldn't help but grin to herself, satisfied that she chose the right words. She capped off her pens, shifted in her seat and pulled her sweatshirt sleeves over her hands. A habit she had been sucked into when she discovered that your hands didn't always have to be out of their sleeves with large pieces of clothing attire. She pushed the note onto Claudia's desk and this time didn't go back to writing, but decided to build a small airplane out of the remaining notebook paper that had cluttered her desk.

Claudia finished the report with, I know that this is a classic piece of literature. I will not sit here and try to argue that it should not be one of the many books everyone should read at least once in their life. I will say that I would like to see us reading something more recent though. Just because some of the children at this school have not been introduced to the finer pieces of literature doesn't mean that the rest of us haven't. I myself have been introduced to every single work by Jane Austen. Please if nothing else assign me books I have not already read and given essays on. If you like I can personally bring in my book reports on Classic literature all the way from when I was seven years old. Thank you for your time. She put her name on the very first page, out of 15 pages, and put the report in her folder. Then she glanced at the refolded piece of paper on her desk, a smile crept on her face as she unfolded it once again and read it. She took her pen to paper and wrote, Guts? Hmm I wouldn't say that, but if you would like to think that, then by all means. I find it cowardly that I hid beneath my covers instead of facing the world bright and early. Detention? Dear me, would we have gotten that if the teacher had been on time? Perhaps we will see each other there one day if we keep up our timeliness of being late. I dare say I wouldn't mind it so much if you were in the room as well. A colleague now of sorts, colleagues of being late. I like the sound of that. What's your next class, if I may be so bold to ask? She was grinning by the time she was through and folded the paper into a triangle before sliding it over to Shade.

message 63: by [deleted user] (new)

Shade watched out of the corner of her emerald green eye Claudia writing something that looked long and intense. It looked slightly boring, but nonetheless impressive. After recieving the note from Claudia, Shade brought it to her hands and unfolded the triangular piece of paper. After reading the long message, she decided something right then and there. She decided that this girl was different from the rest of the school's prep and blonde chicks where all they could probably think about is there next bang buddy and color of eye shadow they'd buy at the local department store. It made Shade want to throw up in front of the class to teach them a lesson on what she thought of most of the people in the school. Instead she sat quietly, planning each and every one of their demise. Shade quickly made a reply, "It's not cowardly dear girl, it's called being a teenager. Next class? Hah, I would have had English, but it all depends on if I decide that these lowly citizens who only care about love, sex and food deserve to be in my presence. How about you? You gonna stick around with these losers? Oh and what the hell is that long ass thing you're writing?" Shade put a smiley face at the end of her note, knowing that it was a bit harsh to write and she didn't want to come off as a total jerk. Folded the paper now in a rectangle to contradict the opponent's triangle she put it into the fold of the airplane she built and sent it off. Slowly it flew, knocking onto the side of Claudia's desk and falling to the ground.

Claudia bit at the end of her pen, chewing at it. It was only a cheap pen, so the plastic easily gave way to her teeth, as she chewed on it. Her eyes skimmed the students around her, they all were talking about parties, and who was going with who. Boring. She was about to slap her forehead down onto her desk when a paper airplane landed on the side of her desk and slid down to the floor. She stared at a moment and then bent down, she heard a few whistles as she came up off the seat some, her skirt rode up and showed some upper thigh. Claudia quickly recovered and sat back up, she threw the boys a dirty look that was so nasty they shut right up and talked amongst themselves. Claudia unfolded the paper and read the words that Shade had put there. She took her chewed pen and started writing back to her new friend. I see, well I suppose its not really worth sticking around here today. Seem's like even the teachers aren't bothering to show up today. Where would I go though? I'm kind of new... would you like to I dunno grab a coffee or go to the used bookstore? I don't know if you're into that kind of things... we could do whatever :) Oh and I'm writing a book report, well the end of one. I simply asked that the teacher give me a book I haven't read already, something new and interesting. I explained that it isn't my fault some of the teenagers around here are illiterate and haven't been brought up properly. I've read Jane Austen, all of her works. Charles Dickens, ect. anyway, if you don't go to class maybe we can do something? She wondered if she sounded desperate. Her cheeks pinkened, Claudia hoped not. She just was happy that someone besides the guy from last night talked to her. Most of the other students shied away from her like she had leprosy. She wondered if she was too withdrawn. Oh well, she was who she was and she wasn't going to change. Sasha sent the paper as well as the airplane back over to Shade, she watched it sail over and knock into Shade's arm.

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

Shade snapped her head around as she heard whistles coming from several boys from around the classroom. Assholes, she thought to herself. She rolled her eyes and waited until the air plane came sailing back to her and knocked into her arm. Her heart thumped a beat in her chest. Who knew she could get this excited about meeting a new person. She just hoped that she wouldn't screw it up any time soon. She smiled. She didn't look like it on the outside, but she loved books. Every kind, well except for those books that are so poorly written or the plot line is so terrible you wonder why the publisher let the book even go on the shelves in the first place. She quickly scrawled something back Well, since you are so very handy dandy with yer books, why don't we go to the bookstore? They have a little cafe built inside of it you know. Multi-task a bit. I can pay" She folded it back up, but this time and stood up and as she did so the class got quiet. The chair that she was in screetched on the hard tile flooring and she just grinned and sneered as she shouted out to the class "What you looking at? Get back to your work!," She didn't look to see if the rest of the class had a reaction, but she didn't care. The teacher wasn't coming and that was final. She walked over to Claudia's desk and crumpled the note in her hands, stuffing them into her pocket and said "Hey, why don't we ditch this joint and go to the bookstore? Get a coffee, chill," She shrugged, hoping that Claudia would be up for the idea, mainly since she was the one who suggested it. But who knew, maybe she was just playing with Shade's mind.

Claudia watched the class seem to freeze when Shade stood up, she looked up and watched the pretty girl. why was the class acting so strange? She giggled slightly when Shade told he class to get back to work, the class seemed to jump when she spoke and did just what she said. Claudia bit her lip to keep from laughing at the group of students, they acted as if Shade had some power over them. She stood as well, her bag went over her shoulder and she looked back at Shade once more. "I'd love to, these people are nothing but a bunch of idiots. They follow what others say and have no real independence of their own. Lets jet," She smiled at Shade and went towards the exit that would take them out into the vacant hall. Claudia glanced at her phone, class was about to let out, so if they hurried they could get out of the building before the rush of students piled out. "So this place has coffee? This store?" She asked Shade curiously as their feet made a clicking sound on the floor of the hall.

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

Shade followed Claudia, pleased with herself for several reasons. One, she finally after months of lonliness made a friend. Two, got the class to listen to her and be scared of her. Three, have someone to skip class with her, so the nerves don't all fall into her stomach when they pass the security cameras on the way out. She smiled and nodded as they closed the door to the classroom behind them and replied "It's just the book store in town, but they have a coffee maker with better creamers then the Cafe. All we have to do is convince them to let us have some. That's the hard part. Of course, we could always just take some," She ran the idea through her head, whatever she could do, she would get that coffee for the both of them so they could enjoy their day off from the annoyances of the school day. As they passed the deserted halls and soon to be deserted classrooms, Shade kept her eyes open for any teachers that decided to take a bathroom break or check on the locked doors of the class rooms. When they passed the art room, a teacher strolled by, getting closer with every passing second. Shade grabbed the strap of Claudia's bag and hissed "Down here," She pulled her in a crouched position towards the stairs, hoping that their shoes wouldn't make loud noises or that heavy nervous breathing wouldn't get in them caught.

Claudia nodded her head, "Yeah we can try to get coffee. I mean how can they say no if we offer a hefty tip?" She thought of the small amount of money she had tucked into her hoodie. She planned on applying at places later that afternoon so that she could make some money. She didn't get an allowance like most of the kids at the school, and she didn't want her older sister having to worry about her constantly. "Hey do you-" She was cut off as Shade pulled her down closer to the floor and they moved quickly toward the stairs, she had barely had the chance to see that a teacher had been heading their way. Her breath came out fast, she tried to calm down and steady her breathing so she wouldn't make such noise. The tip tap of shoes reached her ears just as she and Shade made it to the stairs. She held her breath and waited for the teacher to catch them there, hovering on the stairs. But the steps stopped and turned it sounded like. Claudia let her breath out that she had been holding with a woosh. "That was close," She half whispered to Shade, then a smile slid over her face. "And so exhilarating!" She almost let a laugh out, but then decided better to hold it in until they were successfully out of the building. "C'mon," She said quietly, still holding Shade's hand, and went down the stairs two at a time. "We should probably get out of here before we get caught and thrown in detention. Not that I mind as long as you're there but I'd rather spend my time looking over books, drinking coffee, and hanging out with you where we're allowed to talk freely." She threw Shade a grin and got almost to the bottom of the stairs.

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

As they went down the stairs, Shade's mind wandered. She couldn't help but plaster a hefty grin on her face. This was the first time in ages that she had done this with somebody. Someone that didn't look so fierce on the outside but definitely had the courage of a lion on the inside. She wasn't used being held and lead by the hand, but it was nice. It was nice to take a break from leadership to be lead around by someone else. Take a step back and look onward. As they exited the stairs Shade whispered "Girl, you read my mind," The hardest part was up next. The secretary at the desk of the main office. The only entrance and exit to the school went past the main office. Luckily, there was a desk that hovered above so they could crawl underneath it, hopefully without attracting too much attention from the secretary. Problem was the security camera near the corner of the ceiling. The ceiling was high and they couldn't possibly reach it with anything, so the best hope was that someone wasn't looking at the computer screens as they passed. This time, Shade took the lead and lead them to the farthest side of the main office, her heart threatening to jump right out of her chest with the intense pressure of getting both of them out alive. Or at least without detentions and a call to their families. She bent down to the ground, on her stomach and pulled down on Claudia's arm to signal to do the same. "We're going to crawl by and hopefully we won't get caught!," She whispered quietly, feeling her chest move up and down on the carpeting.

Claudia followed Shade when she took lead, not minding the change in pace. She looked down as Shade went to the floor in a military like crawl. She almost spoke, but decided that would be a bad idea, and assumed a position much like Shades. She bit her bottom lip but did as Shade instructed and army crawled along the floor toward where their freedom was. What if someone looked their way though? what kind of excuse did one give when they were caught with their bellies on the floor? The thought almost made Claudia burst out with laughter, she did her best to be quiet though. Shade would probably kill her if she made a sound right then. Their bellies slid against the floor as they continued toward their exit. Claudia felt a bit nervous about what they were doing, but it was also a thrill to have someone to do this with. Shade was her new best friend, she wasn't scared to just get up and go. She stayed beside Shade most of the way, their sides touching. Once they had to squeeze past the secretary though they had to go single file. Claudia sucked in her breath and made herself as small as possible. Cursing herself for wearing the bulky hoodie. It looked like they were going to get out with no mishap though.

message 71: by [deleted user] (new)

Shade watched as Claudia was cooperative and did as she was told. Good girl, Shade thought to herself. As they got closer to the door, the less nervous Shade felt. Once they got past the desk, which wasn't entirely difficult, but the outcome of going past that desk many times before had been a varying case of possibilties. She stood up and stretched, and then made her way to the door of the school. With her hand she opened the door, letting the soft breeze of the outside freedom encircle her mind and body. She raised an eyebrow and smiled as she motioned to the door, being careful to be as quiet as possible.

Claudia followed suit, her elbows a bit sore by the time she was done, but she had a happy smile on her face and went after Shade. They were out the door in no time, the sun warmed her face once they were outside. "We did it!" She said to Shade with a bit of triumph written on her face. She looked over the parking lot that they found themselves near. Transportation. Crap. "Is it far to town?" She asked Shade, wondering if they needed to call for a cab or something. Or did Shade have a car? Claudia wasn't too worried, she would walk even if it was far to town. She was having too much fun to turn back now, it was an adventure. One that belonged in a book!

message 73: by [deleted user] (new)

Shade shook her head and let out a hearty laugh, "Oh no, it's alright. By foot it's 45 minutes and by car 10. Don't worry, I have a plan," She smirked and gave Claudia a wink before making her way across the parking lot. The sun beat down hard on both of their faces, making beads of sweat grow easily on Shade's forehead. She grimaced in the heat and found what she was looking for. They had crossed the parking lot and came to a wire fence. Under the wire fence though were piles of dirt and leaves. Shade bent down on her knees and pushed her fingers into the dirt, the cool moss and soil refreshing her senses. She grinned and started to dig a hole, removing chunks of leaves and twigs. After only about three minutes a clear previously dug hole appeared before her. "Here, we go through, it's big enough I believe," To demonstrate she put her head under the fence and pushed her body all the way through, grunting from the heat and effort it took. Once she got through, she brushed off the dirt and leaves and her green eyes sparkling, she announced "Your turn,"

Claudia watched, mystified by Shades actions. Just what was it she was digging for? Treasure? Keys? A way to china? The last thought made her clap her hand over her mouth to keep from giggling. Claudia watched as Shade made her way beneath the fence and over to the other side. Oh! "Okay," she replied and got down on the ground, much like back in school only a few minutes before. She shimmied beneath the fence, it took her a few minutes but she got it. By the time she stood beside Shade sweat was running down her back and her cheeks were smudged with dirt, as well as her clothing. "Well that was fun, what next?" She asked Shade with a cheeky grin.

message 75: by [deleted user] (new)

Shade watched Claudia's face form a very funny grin and she couldn't help but laugh. She smiled and said "First, we get that lovely face of yours clear as the sky," She snuck her hand into her sweatshirt sleeve and rubbed it on Claudia's face trying to clear the dirt from her pores. She was somewhat successful. After being satisfied with Caludia's now red raw face she set off in a soldier's marching pace as she said to the hot beating sun "Now, we're off dear girl! We're off!," She started walking in the woody area that ran next to the road. This route would allow them to get to the bookstore faster than actually walking and it was clear of video cameras, one less thing they had to worry about.

((Next series of posts should be at the actual bookstore c;))
