Aha! I just read the book a few days back and what can I say about it! It's a great book! I liked it. It takes you on a journey of first half of last century Russia. A very amazing depiction of how revolution changes lives of people.

I came across this book last week in my library... Had picked it up to reach.. But found Big Sleep and i cancelled my appointment with the Doctor!!!

@Anoop I did not like this book at all. You were lucky you stopped reading it. I kept reading it hoping for something better to come along!

@Neena, I'm surprised that you didn't like it. It's a popular book even made into a film. But then again, that is no reason to like a book. :) I wonder why.

@Amit I don't even remember it much now. One thing I remember though; love part of the story was not impressive at all. You know the way one feels deep emotions flowing through characters, all that as missing in this book. Their love story seemed so ordinary to me. At times I was wondering about both of them being strangers to each other. I felt there was no deep emotional bond between lovers.
