The book is by Lilith St. Crow, and I'm pretty sure it's called The Society.
do you know a book. its about a girl who lives in a small town. out the back is a where the panthers are and she is friends with them. .. kinda. does anyone know?

I read a sample of a dystopian book , the event was called "the flash". A female is struggling along & comes upon a house that is a trap. The p.o.v. Changes & it's from the man waiting inside with a sign on his door asking " if you tell me your story since the flash I will provide food" I think shelter as well , but regardless he gives her drugged hot chocolate & he has a bunch of other girls trapped in his basement. Any thoughts my fellow good readers I just saw the comment about the group that does specifically for these probs. I went online & I found things about dystopian /book/& the flash but it wasn't it:( if anyone can help I would be so grateful) thanksSparta a.k.a. Clare

It's strange that's what I found when I googled it, the sample I read must have not been from the beginning of the book, I bought it & started reading it, enjoyed what I was reading but I guess "the flash" hasn't happened yet? Thanks for the confirmation :) I'll get to reading it . I can stop obsessing about the one who got away lol
I am trying to remember the name of a book I read about 1-2 years ago. The only things I can remember about the book are that it was about shifters and they lived in cliff houses. I know that the main girl in the story wasn't originally wanted when she came to cliff houses. I do believe this was the first to a series also. I wish I could think of more. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
So, it's about a girl who finds out she has psychic type powers, and a guy that saves her from an evil secret organisation. I'm pretty sure there is more than one book in the series.
It starts off as the girl is walking home from work (i think she's a nurse?), past an abandoned house. She sees lights flickering inside and thinks is kids playing in there. Turns out it's some guys who are measuring electricity waves (or something like that). When she walks past, it spikes crazily. She briefly meets one of the guys at the gate before leaving. She lives with her dad (who i'm pretty sure is ex-army). Long story short - the bad guys find out about her. The good guys have been watching her since seeing her the night at the house. But after one of the bad guys tries to abduct her from the supermarket car park - and then when failing that, attack her home and *spoiler alert* kill her dad and best friend, she is saved by the good guy and they run away to the secret base for the organisation that he works for. Over the span of the books, she eventually learns to use her powers, but her lover is captured at some point and brainwashed. She eventually gets him back.
At some point in the books, i remember her leading a team to Las Vegas to get money for their organisation after they had to relocate coz they were sold out by one of their own doctors.
Thats all i can remember. I'm hoping someone can help me :)
