Nagstart na ko dito last weekend. Almost finished with the first part. BUT if this proves to be too sad of a read for December I will stop and continue it late January next year. I don't want it to kill my Christmas mojo. :D
I downloaded the ebook from Goodreads. Taking another shot at reading a classic.
Go Lynai! I think I have a copy in iBooks, pero bibili tlg ako nung Lampara Classics na edition. May illustration pa. hihihi
I tried reading this way back but I stopped because Fantine's story was too depressing for my life :(( and abridged pala copy ko, HAHA. But at least may support group na so I'm looking forward to rekindling my relationship with this book :))Maria: same here! Sobrang nakakapagod magbasa with iBooks, kasi 2400+ pages siya dun!
Di naman kailangan na basahin agad sa Dec. 1 diba?:D I might start with Cloud Atlas muna para habulin ko yung movie release date.:D

Angus: Okies, I'll have my pompoms ready. (Or kakantahan ko na lang kayo ng One Day More. LOL!) But I have to admit, super biased yung 5-star rating ko. Malapit lang talaga sa puso ko ang Les Miserables because of the musical. Hindi ko maatim bigyan ng less than 5. Hehe.

I have the unabridged edition downloaded here! Pero maghanap ako ng ibang translation kasi naguguluhan ako sa story!YAY!
I WILL TRY MY BEST. I downloaded the unabridged version in my Kindle.
Watched the 25th anniversary concert (I bought it in Trinoma) and ayun, naiyak ako. I hope it will bring out the same sentiments by reading the book. :)

Yup! Na inspire kasi ako ng bongga sa 10th Anniversary concert. Pero it has mga 10 songs lang and it's a *digital version* :))

I'm sure there are others, but these are the most popular ones :D
Do they have the same list of songs? Gosh. Mukhang mag-aadik ako, haha!

I'm pretty sure they'll release a movie soundtrack, but I doubt the track list will be the same as the musical cast recordings. Less songs, probably just the ones sung by the major characters.

I appreciated the 25th anniversary concert, maybe because nakita ko yung mga singers of the West End original cast. Imagine their timbre, they haven't lost the magic of the singing voice, nakakapanindig-balahibo pa rin.(Okay, after my beach vacation sisimulan ko na siya) :)

Malamang napansin nila na walang unabridged edition. (At ang pronunciation nila ay Ley Mee-ze-ra-balls.)
At yung unabridged edition nila ay fake! fake! fake! :D (what am I gonna do with 2 books?)
Oh, I love the rules for this! May I join? Big fan of the musical. Like many of you, know the entire libretto by heart. But have never read the book.I also need a long read that will last me from the last week of Dec to the first few weeks of January.:)
By the way, Ella, naiyak din ako after ko mapanood yung 25th anniversary concert dahil lumabas si Colm Wilkinson na original na Valjean. At mukha pa kong siraulo kasi mag-isa akong nanonood sa harap ng computer ko, tapos magsta-standing ovation ako after most of the songs. Tulog na asawa ko non kasi hatinggabi na, pero nagigising sya tuwing pumapalakpak ako at tumatayo.
