Nick Tran (nick00777) | 6 comments The challenge: limit your plot to 7 lines or less, ala Hemingway, minimum adjectives & adverbs, por favor :). Here’s mine, H.G. Wells’ The Invisible Man, who was an evil scientist in the novel but I want to remake him into a noble, tragic figure. Griffin arrived at Iping, met Heather, the landlady’s daughter. Heather was dying and wished to spend her last days with her father, a prisoner falsely accused of murder by Dr. Kemp, her mother’s lover. Griffin overheard her prayer and the lovers’ plot to kill the father (it’s good to be invisible) so he sneaked into the prison, traded place with the father, then Kemp arrived and shot him. The family reunited at dinner. Griffin showed up, told the father and daughter about the plot. They didn’t believe him until he revealed a metal plate inside his coat, it was logged with Kemp’s bullets meant for his heart, or the father’s heart. Kemp showed up and fought with Griffin. The father stabbed and killed Kemp. Griffin died, so did the father and daughter, they all drank the wine poisoned by the mother! Wait a minute, this sounds like Hamlet! I’ll come up with a different ending tomorrow :) In the meanwhile, please check out my debut SF giveaway. Thanks!!! (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16...)
