Liz M 10.1 - Year in Review
Read a book posted in one of the last four RwS challenges (hint: enter the title into the Search discussion posts box on the right). This task can be completed three times. This task cannot be claimed as combo points.

10.2 - January is Yours, Mine and Ours Month:
Read a book with one of the following pronouns in the title: I, we, you, he, she, they, me, him, her, us, them, myself, yourself, himself, herself, ourselves, themselves, mine, your(s), his, hers, our(s), or their(s).

10.3 - Honor Library Lover's Month (February) by reading the Modern Library Board's Lists for best novels or best nonfiction.

10.4 - In celebration of the first volume of Grimm's Fairy Tales, which was published on Dec. 20th, 1812, read a Fairy-tales (shelved as such at least 25 times), a fairy tale retellings (shelved as such at least 5 times) OR a classic fairy tale.

10.5 - In recognition of World Thinking Day, February 22nd, read one of the top 250 on the Most Influential Books list.

10.6 - In honor of the Nobel Prizes, which are typically awarded in early December, read a book written by a Nobel winner.

10.7 - Isabell's Task - Buy Nothing Christmas
Buy Nothing Christmas is an ongoing protest and reaction to the commercialization of the Christmas season. Support the cause by reading a "winter book" (a book originally published in December, January, or February) that you either
a) got for free (as a gift, from the library …) OR
b) could get for free because it is available as a free public domain ebook on Project Gutenberg.

10.8 - Deedee's Task - Historical Reading:
Read a non-fiction history of events that happened before 1500 A.D. OR a work of historical fiction set before 1500 A.D.

10.9 - Cory Bigler's task - NOT a Random Penguin:
In protest of the consolidation of major publishing houses into ever-larger entities, read a book published by a small/independent press. (The edition you read should NOT be published by Georg von Holtzbrinck Publishing Group/Macmillan (and its imprints), HarperCollins (and its imprints), Lagardère/Hachette Publishing (and its imprints), Penguin Group (and its imprints), Random House (and its imprints), or Simon & Schuster (and its imprints).) This task can only be completed once and cannot be claimed as combo points.

Liz M 20.1 – In honor of If on a Winter's Night a Traveler :
Read a self-reflective novel or a novel about writers found on the linked lists.

20.2 – In honor of The Winter War :
Read one of the top 50 Best Westerns OR a book that won a Western Writers Spur Award in Novel or Non-fiction categories, excluding the "short" or "juvenile" categories.

20.3 – In honor of Winter's Tale :
Read a novel classified as magical realism on the linked page.

20.4 – In honor of Winter Trees :
Read a book whose author was born during Sylvia Plath's lifetime (1932-1963).

20.5 – In honor of Winter in Madrid :
Read a book originally written in Spanish OR a book set entirely in a Spanish speaking country.

20.6 – In honor of The Winter of Our Discontent :
Read one of the top 100 books with a poetic title.

20.7 - Sara Grace's Task - Notable:
Read a book from the New York Times 100 notable books from 2010, 2011, OR 2012.

20.8 – Kate S's task - Informed:
Read a non-fiction book about a person or place mentioned in the World News category of these 2012 blurbs.

20.9 – Elizabeth (Alaska)'s task - Penned:
Read any book by one of these 19th Century authors on the 1001 Books to Read Before You Die list.

20.10 – Liz M's task - Undaunted:
Read a classic book (published before 1950) that you find intimidating. Maybe it is a book you started and put down (Catch-22). Maybe it's a book with a reputation for difficulty (Ulysses). It should be a classic book that you want to read, but have been avoiding, for whatever reason.
This task can only be completed once and it cannot be claimed as combo points.
