Lucas dribbled the ball down the court, evading all opposing players. He stopped at the three point line and jumped up, shooting the ball as he did. As soon as the ball exited the net his female classmates started screaming. One of the more confidante girls walked up to him and handed him a towel. She then leaned towards him, showing off her cleavage. "You're so good at sports Lucas, that basket was amazing." She said in a sultry voice. He nodded without saying anything and wiped at his forehead with the towel.
Nichi watched him from the bleachers without interest. Her gym outfit was a strange assortment of red board shorts and a tank top in the same colour. The boots had been switched for white nikes. She blinked when the teacher finally asked her to go on the court, in the opposite team to Lucas. She smiled and walked past the girl talk to Lucas, tripping her over as she walked along, pushing her glasses up her nose.
Lucas noticed the student council girl from earlier and smirked when she tripped one of the annoying girls crowding around him. He watched as she tromped past and stopped on the opposite end of the court to join the other team. He waved the girls away and wondered what kind of a girl could be on student council who tripped people for seemingly no reason. He also wondered why it was that she seemed to will the girls who crowded around him to die slow and painful deaths, and yet simply ignored the girls who crowded around the other hosts and star athletes.
Nichi spoke to the leader of her team. He nodded and she stepped up to the front and folded her arms, calmly daring anyone to go against her. She looked over at Lucas. "Brave enough to go against me?" she said, a sly smirk crossing her face as she slid a white headband over her hair.
Lucas returned her smile with a wicked grin. "Of course, but don't think I'll go easy on you just because you're a woman."
"That's not a good reason for anything" she replied as she looked up at him. She realised she was very much shorter than he was-and turned to glare at people smirking behind their hands. They immediately stopped.
Lucas chuckled, it had been a while since he had met a girl like her who was ready to spit on anyone she met just for the heck of it. He got ready as the referee held the ball up for tip-off and used his height advantage to grab it as it was thrown into the air.
Nichi scowled but jumped lightly and batted it out of his hand with ease. She grinned and waved to him as she dribbled it down the court, totally ignoring her teammates cracking jokes as she ran.
Lucas jogged after her, noting that his long legs could easily keep pace with her short stature. He made a half-hearted grab for the ball and she easily yanked it away. He sped up a little and got in front of her and snatched the ball away as she struggled to reposition herself. He sprinted down the court in the opposite direction, weaving in and out of all the other players.
Nichi darted in front of him, but felt herself slip on her trainers, she wasn't used to them...she slipped and fell to the ground, letting out a short cry of pain as her hair floated around her.
Lucas stopped short and dropped the ball, not caring who picked up the ball. He turned around and knelt next to the student council girl. "Are you hurt?" He asked, peering into her eyes.
Aviva grabbed the ball after Lucas dropped it, and dribbled down to shoot because she was on his team. She thought it was dumb that he stopped for a girl on the other team, worry about her after your team. She shot and it bounced off of the backboard, and made the basket. She stopped and jogged over to where the girl fell, now able to pay attention.
Aviva sighed, Well, there goes our best player, she thought unhappily. She returned to the game, got passed the ball, and she passed it so someone else could score.
(I'll make a nurse's office post, kay?)"I'm fine. Leave me alo-Ow! Ow! Okay, maybe I'm not" Nichi complained as Lucas picked her up. "But you don't need to pick me up. Your fangirls are going to kill me" she muttered as her glasses slipped off her face for the thousandth time. She couldn't be bothered putting them on...she held them loosely in her palm.
Lucas poked his head through the gym doors, making sure no one was around. He had sweet talked the instructor into giving him the keys to the equipment room but he didn't feel like explaining why they were in the gym to anyone else.
Lucas nodded and tilted his head. "Do you know the rules?" His hands stilled and he gripped the ball loosely with his fingertips.
Lucas smiled gently, "I'm sure you would be fine, but if that's what you think be my guest." He started dribbling again and going through some warm-ups.
Lucas continued, just dribbling around the court and making shots from the three-point line. He stopped in the middle of his lay-up and looked at her, "are you sure you don't want to play?"
Lucas smiled and motioned for her to come towards him. "Ok I'll demonstrate for you. First you bend your arm like this and steady the ball with your other hand." He looked over at her to make sure she was following what he was doing.
(She's close to the PE room, so...)Nichi walked along the hall, looking around. She stopped and delicately put her hands up to her faceand pulled off the dark, ugly glasses. There was nothing wrong with her eyes. They were just too good for Nichi, apparently. Too bad. She had to find Lucas and apologise.
"Then you flick your wrist like this and jump." Lucas said and smiled as the ball whisked through the hoop.
Kuro tried tripped on her feet. She then rolled and stopped rolling. She was then on her back and the ball rolled the opposite way. She then gave a small smile, "Yeah that was hard."
Lucas' eyes widened and he stood over her, offering a hand to pull her up. "Are you alright? That was a pretty hard fall."
He eyed her doubtfully, "you sure? I don't think I've ever seen someone crash so hard just from trying to shoot a basket."
"Is this something you're used to? Maybe you should wear padding or something." Lucas said only half kidding.
Lucas smiled slightly, "what? I just want to make sure you're ok. Walking around with bruises and cuts all the time can't be fun."
"It was no problem. This was certainly a much more enjoyable time than I would have otherwise had. Some of the girls who frequent the club can be.... a bit much." Lucas said, thinking of some of the girls he had had to entertain.
Kuro nodded, "I can imagine." She was close to him and wanted to kiss him, but I could ruin their relationship.
Lucas looked at Kuro, "well sports seem to be nixed then. It wouldn't do for you to hurt yourself just because we're doing what I want. So what do you want to do? We can stay in here for a while longer if you want."
