I absolutely love the little garden they planted where the annex used to be full of Maeve's favorite plants (the dog rose :). I'm glad to see Lord Sean being the one she can confide in since I was left with a rather bitter taste of him after he was so awful to Clodagh and even earlier when he hit his sister, Niamh. I always kind of wished Bran and Liaden could have traded places with Sean and Aisling in the story and lived at Sevenwaters and had all the girls (and Johnny) since I like that pair so much more.

I've never really liked Aisling too much, either. First, I'm biased because she's not originally from Sevenwaters. Secondly, I think of her as too strict on her daughters and household in domestic task. She also didn't like/trust Bran and his beloved band of warriors and her brother was Eammon. I can't tell if in this chapter she's really being so insensitive to be embarrassed to have Maeve sit with them at dinner or if Maeve is imagining the worst.

If she's really being that awful, Aisling's going to have too many marks against her in my book.

im actually really excited that you have started reading this book now paige! i found that i wasnt able to put in discussions for each chapter cos i got so wrapped up in trying to finish the book!! enjoy the rest of it!
