I've also been getting requests from random authors asking me to spam Goodreads for them.
They all seem to be Americans.

They actually ask you to spam do they?
No requests from a J M Porup either.
I am really missing out here ;)

Cheeky gits, eh?
I'm always so tempted to reply to them in a very snotty manner.

And of course there's the people that I friended ages ago who I'd dearly love to dump but can't for some reason! Grrr...

Do you have a cutting blade you can attach to the back of your tractor...?

message: Hello, I am a new author on Amazon Kindle and I'd love for you to check out my newly published book called ********. It is a Young Adult novel and I would appreciate any feedback you may have.
Here's a peek:
“As quick as a flash, he puts me up against the side of the building. My back hits the wall hard, enough to make my ears ring. His body pushes into mine, trapping me between his hands and the bricks. His breathing is uneven, his light breath stirring my hair. I wait for the eventual kiss, the moment where his lips meet mine hard and rough but he doesn’t do anything. A lump is in my throat. “Either kiss me or let me go,” I choke out. The same old tug of war is still raging and there’s nothing but a storm between us. (Exerpt from pg. 191)"
Synopsis: Ever since her mother’s death, Avena’s heart has become steel—tough, hardened…unbreakable. She refuses to let anything faze her; least of all, the school’s most notorious player, Adrian Huntington, with his jade eyes and aloof, sardonic charm that has all the girls swooning in his wake. When she becomes his next target, everything goes up in flames as they find themselves getting caught up in the game they created.

Thank you.
Cheers,
Lilah

I'm sorry for the spam, it's very hard for an indie author to gain any publicity. Do you know any websites to self promote your own book? 15 minutes ago

Just don't
You've spammed a moderator of one of the largest and most active groups on Goodreads.
You've not done yourself any favours.

<< sniff >>
It's at times like this that you realise who your real friends are
<< blows noisily into handkerchief >>

Because of your privacy settings!"
So that is good isn't it???

Did anyone else get an email from the lovely 'Vivian' wanting to exchange photos yesterday?

My good heart still thinks I'll drop her a line :)
