Tristan Durie's debut novel is about Harlan Valeri, an "indetective" – a Sydney private dick whose job is to make things mysterious, rather than the other way around. When Valeri is hired to throw a young journalist off the scent of corruption within a high profile charity, he finds his loyalties tested.

The novel, now available electronically (naturally), will launch at pop-up bar Cake Wines in Surry Hills on November 28, featuring canapes, drinks and DJ Andrew P Street.
