Nichola She could take a sequel in so many different directions, assuming she wrote a sequel what would you like to see included or explored?

NB Guys, my question is not about whether you want a sequel or not. With the utmost of respect I think this is clearly covered on another thread, I'm asking those who would like a sequel what they would want to see in it. No offence intended to anyone.

Abbie Blick I would not like to see a sequel. The story has already been told. Adding anything more would ruin everything.

Kirby I would like to see the story focus on the OTHER group of humans and how they "acquired" their parasite. I'd also like to learn more about how many people have managed to resist, and if any other aliens feel guilty.

That actually would be interesting. I was thinking that continuing with Wanda and the others would just basicaLly be repeating the same story. But focusing on the others would be interesting!

yeah, I agree that wanda/mel's story was completed.

Nichola I'm not sure wanda's story is complete but also not sure where she could take that without ruining it. I would like to see from the other groups POV but maybe not from the beginning. We know how Wanda got there, it's probably safe to assume that the story would be similar. I'd like to see the story go forward, what happens after they started to trust the soul. There must be more groups of humans too? It can't be coincidence that the only two groups of humans remaining are living in the same desert.

Does anyone think the story of the seeker could be interesting too? Living inside a person who is so spiteful that the turns a Soul into someone who is quite pessimistic?

Madiha Personally I wouldn't like a sequel to this book. The story fit perfectly adding more about their lives might just ruin it.
At the same time,if their is a sequel a story focusing on the other group would be nice. How they move forward as well as some insight about how Burns joined them.

Iman27 The sequel should be the humans searching for other groups of human survivors and other rebel aliens. Then they start an uprising and overthrow the other aliens. And the world will be inhabited by humans again!

I completely agree!

Bella Cennato I believe she could take this much deeper as well. The awakening and first understanding by their species of sentience... and what would they do with it.. let's face it, the outlook isn't good if they take after human kind in any way... which sort of leads to another question... how much of human nature might they have acquired!

Hi, sorry it's late at night here so I'm not working on all cylinders, are you thinking they were not sentient beings at some point?

Bella Cennato All of the OTHER aliens they had encountered were not at quite the same level of humans... the seaweeds were probably the highest order they had encountered. We did not get lots of specifics about the other beings but my impression was sort of like they were in a mind set of say ants or bees. Not the same structure as we pesky humans lol

Autumn it might be cool to hear about other humans, or what happens after ?

ah with you :) sorry wasn't functioning on full throttle last night :)

Memphis El libro termina bien, yo lo veo como un final algo cerrado e igual si saca otro libro luego el verdadero final no nos gusta nada, así que yo no me arriesgo

But this isn't really what I asked :( I wanted to know what people would like to see if there was a second book rather than whether or not they wanted a second book. There is another thread which covers that. So, lets assume there is a second book to come, chances are you will probably read it, what would you hope to read about?

Laci Carlson Maybe it would be a new twist to see the two groups team up. Then we could learn more about that other parasite and how they changed to help the humans.

I assumed there must be more groups of humans and some of them must have their own souls who have 'gone native.' Seems to me the planet was destined towards souls and humans living together in some way or another.

Shannon I want to see the souls and humans being able to somehow live in harmony. I also want to see if there are many more humans hiding out. And some more Wanda/Ian! lol
