The David Walton this is attached to is a Science Fiction Fantasy writer of, I am sure estimable talent, however he did not write this collection of short stories. This collection was written by a semi-retired professor from the University of Pittsburgh, and published in 1983. David indicates on his website, http://www.davidwaltonfiction.com that he published his first piece in 2001.
