Jasmine and Giulia
((It's chill. No pressure. Need to go now anyways!))Asha holds onto the satchel and gazes around at the street which was becoming livelier as the sun peaked in the sky.
"In we go." Lucas sighs, opening the door and walking in, seeing his fellow guards laughing and joking by the fire. They all stop at the sight of the girls, each whistling and looking over them.Asha looks around, not wanting to meet their eyes.
"We need some information. Anyone willing to help?" Lucas asks his guard friends."For a few moments with these two? I'll volunteer!" One shouts out jokingly and Asha smirks a bit.
Lucas rolls his eyes and asks one more time.
"You. I know you're reliable. Get up." he points directly at one of his oldest friends who smirk charmingly and stands up, going over to them."How can I help you ladies?" he asks smoothly.
"What do you know about a pendant with the power of life?" Asha demands quietly.
"Usually we'd have to go on a third date to ask life altering questions." he jokes in return. She rolls her eyes with a smile, letting him continue. "Over to the next room." he opens another door and lets them walk through.
The guard takes a seat and sighs. "Unfortunately, I know who's behind the pendant's theft." he begins, imploring Asha to urge him on further.
"You'll find him living in the castle, on top of the entire town. In fact, you'll find he is the Lord Protector of this city. He wants the pendant because there have been skirmishes with other cities and he needs to revive his troops if you know what I mean. Something dead can't be killed." he explains gravely.
"So he's eradicating everyone who knows about it to be the sole possessor?" Asha finishes off his sentence for him. He nods, agreeing with her. Asha looks over to her sister. "Thank you for your help sir." she tells him, grabbing her sister and dragging her over into a corner to talk in private."What do you think?" she asks.
Jasmine goes with her sister. "I'm not sure. It's too dangerous to get this man but. But he doesn't know the dangers of the pendant either."
Asha turns around and makes up their decision for them. "Thank you for your assistance sir. We will be going now." she then leaves the room.Lucas thanks his friend as Asha leaves.
Asha steps back out onto the street. "We've got to be careful what anyone tells us now." Asha warns her sister.
"I dont know. He asked me out durig the time they attacked papa and burned the caravan. What if he knew. He was just using me as a distraction?"
Asha gasps, seeing the connection. "You don't think-" but she's stopped as Lucas exits the barracks and smiles at them. "What now?" he asks. Asha flicks a glance over to Jasmine.
"Now, we go to check up if this story is true." Asha says, narrowing her eyes at Lucas who didn't suspect anything.
"If you don't mind Lucas, we'd like to visit an old family friend, alone. It's a long story but we'd like the privacy." Asha begins, not afraid to be straightforward about it."Of course not. Are you going to be safe?" he asks, looking around. "Definitely. We'll see you here in one hour?" he nods in agreement to her plan and she grabs Jasmine and walks away.
"Talk." she whispers to her sister.
Jasmine takes a deep breath. "Alrighy. When Lucase came at first I disnt suspect it. Until he came and left so quockly when he brought us to papa. Then he asks me out at the tome of the attack. He must be up to something." she said
"Then let's get him into a crowded area, because he can't attack us when there are people watching. Besides, we'll be far from the barracks with all his soldier friends." Asha reasons.
"Lucas! Do you mind escorting us to the market?" Asha calls back to him. He nods and hurries over. "This way." he leads them.
"Lucas. We need to discuss something." Asha turns and tells him seriously, hoping Jasmine would input her idea into it as well.
"What?" he replies, clueless."You're suspicious. You led Jasmine away when the caravan was attacked. You saved us during the chase, knowing we knew about the pendant. You know so many people who know about a pendant that is supposed to be unknown. Care to explain?" Asha tells him straightforwardly. He stutters and glances over at Jasmine, as if asking whether she believed this or not.
"Look...if you want to the truth, it can't be here." he says after a moment of silence. Asha scoffs.
