"Look, I think the path curves towards that crossroad, which we can reach if we follow the rocks. Let's hurry." Lucas said quickly, noticing the trail before taking off.
Lucas paused, seeing a sheer drop down to the road, it was far but not too much so. "I'll try to scramble down...then I'll help you, alright?"
"Careful is my middle name." He winked, lowering himself down the sheer cliff face. The horse was coming up to the crossroad. He paused and told Jasmine to head on down and where to grab on.
The horse was approaching the crossroad quickly now, they didn't have a lot of time. "Once we get down, we'll have to run." he told her, scrambling down the last edge and helping her out.
Lucas leapt after her, rushing for the crossroads where the horse was coming up to. He could see two figures on its back.
Lucas was reaching the crossroads the same time the horse was. He then drew his sword and leapt the final steps to block their path.
The horse stopped and Maev looked down on them, her eyes like daggers. "Your own blood hm Lucas?" she sneered."Asha. Where is she?" Lucas demanded.
Maev remained silent but they could see a figure behind her.
"Maev this is insane. You are kidnapping a girl over a pendant that might or might not exist. Stop this." Lucas snarled but Maev laughed."I am not stupid cousin. I know the girls have it, whether it be the sister or this weakling. Besides I'm not the only person looking for it, there are those willing to pay."
Jasmine listened but glared at Maev when she was called the weakling. She wasn't weak it just depended if she was injured or not.
"Enough, give us Asha." Lucas demanded. "In your dreams cousin. Now out of my way or I'll have to run you right over." Maev sneered.
"Ah so the weakling speaks!" Maev snickered cruelly, making her horse panicky."I have a bad feeling Jasmine...Asha hasn't moved or said anything..." Lucas whispered to Jasmine, suspicious.
"Let Asha speak. We want to see how she is!" Lucas commanded. Maev smirked and made the horse rear up aggressively again. "Maev!" he shouted, seeing it was ready to bolt once more. "What are you hiding?!"
Jasmine watched worriedly. "Let my sister speak!" She said harshly wanting to hear her sisters voice.
Jasmine tried to figure out what she was saying. "What do you mean she's having a bit of difficulty staying awake?" She asked harshly.
"What do you think it means hm?" Maev returned rudely. Lucas stepped forwards, making the horse skittish. "You drugged her, didn't you?"
((cool sorry if i dont answer for at least till next friday. Its because of some traveling im doing.))
((Yeah))Jasmine looked at Maev angrily she better not have drugged her sister. She never even thought that it was possible.
"Maev you have gone too far for the money and power. Stop this madness now!" Lucas demanded, stepping even closer.
Jasmine glared at Maev. "Let my sister go." She said again to her. She was thinking if Maev didn't let Asha go. She would ask Maev to take her instead of her sister she knew it was risky but she wanted to do it to save her sister.
Maev scoffed. "I've had enough of this. My answer is still no so stand out of the way or else I'll have to run you over."
Jasmine couldn't stand it. "Please Maev let her go I'm begging you. I'll do what even you want. I'll even go with you instead of my sister." She said truthfully.
Lucas turned to Jasmine. "No, what are you doing?" he hissed, grabbing her arm.Maev raised an eyebrow. "You? What does it matter to me if it was you, not her?"
Jasmine ignored him. "Doesn't matter which you bring but Asha doesn't have the amulet." She said to her lying regretting it but she had no choice she wasn't going to watch Maev ride away with her sister.
Maev's eyes widened. "She doesn't have the amulet? Are you sure girl?" her voice was dripping with venom. Lucas was still interjecting.
"I will take you for two reasons - you have the pendant but also it'll hurt Lucas to see you go so take this dead weight off the horse." Maev said quickly.
Jasmine nodded feeling herself regretting what she did. She barely was able to set Asha down with just her one arm.
