Jasmine and Giulia
Jasmine looks back at her sister and takes the shawl and goes with him.
Outside, Lucas closes the door and brightens the lamp."I know you and your sister do not believe me when I warned you, but I cannot leave knowing you're in danger like this."
Jasmine looks at him. "Why are you telling me this, I mean are you saying that you want to protect us both?" She asked and doesn't want to believe him.
((gtg))"Of course I do. It's my fault I got you into this situation so I should get you out. If you only you'd let me." he stepped closer, frustrated.
((ok))Jasmine still backs away. "Why did you save me on the roof?"
"Why wouldn't I? You were in trouble and well, it was mostly impulse." he replied.
"What do you want me to say? I've never been the smooth talking, express my head over heel feelings for you kind of guy, so that is the best I can come up with. I liked you instantly. What else can I say?" he answered frustratedly.
"I thought it was obvious by now." he sighed, looking down at the ground.
He couldn't help to beam his bright smile. "Glad to hear it." He runs his hand through his brown hair.
"So now do you believe me?" he asks, glad they were finally open to each other about their feelings.
"Good. Just trust me. Get out of this town. Some bad things are going to go down. Get onto a boat, get into a cart, whatever but I have to protect you." he demands.
Jasmine looks at him. "I have to convince Asha." She said.
"Do try. If you ever need to get in touch, you know how to find me. Be careful around here alright? My apartment is free if you need." he looked around, walking closer to her.
Jasmine nods "Alright." "Are there still people looking for my sister and I?"
"So many more than you can imagine." he shook his head. "You'll just have to trust me about this."
Jasmine nods "Alright. I'll trust you."
"Thank you. Good night Jasmine." He came close. As if about to lean in for a kiss.
Jasmine looks at him and kisses him.
He kisses her back, sadly and lingeringly before putting back on his cloak and disappearing into the night.
Jasmine watches where he disappeared and goes inside she lays down and falls asleep.
Asha wakes up first the next morning as the tavern keeper is organising the tables at dawn. She yawns violently before sitting up and rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
Jasmine wakes up relieved. She sits up still tired.
"How was your sleep?" Asha asks, stretching a bit.
"Good." Jasmine said rubbing her arm again. She barely remembered what happened the other night.
"That's good to hear. Mines was terrible! So, what's the plan today? We go looking for more clues?"
"Yea we can go and look for more clues." Jasmine said.
"I wonder what adventure we'll see today! Fighting off more villans and clearing our names!" Asha cries, laughing a bit.
Jasmine smiles "I'm not sure. Maybe something interesting."
"Hopefully it won't be life threatening again." Asha sits down and starts to pack up.
"Yea." Jasmine said helping her sister pack.
"What leads do we have to follow up today? We know the pendant exists, we saw it with our own two eyes, we also know powerful people are looking for it. We just need to...make it clear that we don't know anything, or take the pendant."
Jasmine nods "Yea everything sounds about right."
"That's good. I like having a plan. Let's pay and go." Asha smiles and walks over to hand the money to the tavern keeper. ((gtg))
Jasmine goes with her sister putting her notebook away again.
"Do you think that they'll believe us if we went to them and asked them believe us?" Asha asks tentatively.
"We'll need a more definite course of action. I think...this might be crazy, but I think if we can steal the pendant, we can put an end to this." Asha begins, hoping Jasmine will understand.
Jasmine listens to her sister and it takes a few minutes to process it. "Are you serious Asha?? We could get caught we won't be able to get it we could get killed." Jasmine said.
"I am serious! How else can be convince them? By just disappearing?" she tries to reason.
"See, if we get a hold of it, we'll be able to control what they do to us! We'll just demand that we'll be left alone, right...?" she walks around the room, explaining.
Jasmine thinks it through and says "Yes I think so I think that will work."
"Good! Then we've got to join this race to find this pendant. We just need a lead..." she thinks out loud.
Jasmine thinks of how they will fidn the pendant. "Maybe some of the retired guards might know?"
Asha still sleeps.
