I have just watched an interview with Paul Auster on Talking Books USA, BBC News. I found him to be absolutely fascinating. My next stop was Amazon to purchase one of his works. But... I hadn't appreciated there were so many, so please could I ask, where do I start. What would be the best book to get a feel for his work, philosophy, and beautiful prose?
Especially City of Glass from the New York Trilogy. I'd skip Ghosts. The Locked Room is interesting. From there try Brooklyn Follies. There is not a bad fiction book among the lot.
