Sally sat in the corner of her cell,crying.Everyone...thought she was crazy...Why?She was telling the truth.She knew she could hear the voices...every night.She could freeze objects too.She's seen it happen before,and with a little practice,she possibly could control it.But,no one was going to give her a chance...She felt so alone...

They took James to is cell which was across fom Sally's. He was yelling the whole way "I'm not crazy! I swear I hear them!"

Sally lifted up her head and looked behind her towards the door.Who was screaming?She slowly stood up and walked over to the window on the door to see what was going on.She saw a few doctors dragging James to the cell across from hers.She had an expression of sympathy on her face.

They tossed him into the cell and locked the door, he fell onto the floor with a groan

She sighed a little and waited until the doctors were gone.She pressed her fingertips against the window.It slowly started to freeze.Then,it shattered.She stuck her arm out and unlocked the door from the outside.She stepped out and walked over,peering in through James's window.

James sat in the corner hands over his ears

She frowned and unlocked the door.Once she had stepped into the room,she knew what was wrong with him.The voices soon filled her ears,but she didn't mind.She slowly walked over and knelt down."H-Hello...?"

He looked up quickly obviously startled "I'm not crazy I swear." He said quickly

She bit her lip."I know you aren't.Neither am I....I can hear them too."She looked down at the ground.

His eyes went wide and he put his hands on her shoulders before pulling her into a hug

She hesitantly hugged him back and she remained silent for awhile."....What's your name?"

"I'm James, and you are?" He asked

"I'm Sally..."Her voice was quiet and soft as she spoke.

"How'd you get in here?" He asked

"I unlocked the door."

"How'd you get out of your cell?" He asked

She bit her lip a little."I broke the window and unlocked my door."

"How did you......?" He shook his head trailing off

She bit her lip and looked around.Her eyes set on a mirror."Do you need that?"

"Um no." He said shaking his head

She got up and walked over to the mirror.She gently pressed her fingertips against the glass.Slowly,it started to freeze.

His eyes widened and he smiled "That's awesome."

She smiled slightly and a crack formed in the mirror.

"How did you do that?" He asked

She shrugged."I dunno.I've been able to do this for as long as I can remember."

"Well it's amazing." He said smiling

She smiled a little."Thanks..."

"You're welcome....... Do they ever let you out of the rooms?" He asked slowly moving from the corner

She nodded."Only for breakfast,lunch, and dinner.And if they want to experiment on you, they'll take you to the surgery department."

"Experiment?" He asked looking up at her.

She frowned,nodding."The doctors experiment on patients who have "illnesses" like mine.They tell us we're crazy, but they think we could be used as military weapons."

"How will hearing voices help in the military?" He asked finally standing he was half a head taller

She shrugged."I don't know.Apparently, they think it would help."

"Well they're stupid." He said shaking his head

She leaned against the wall and sighed.

"How long have you been here?" He asked.

She bit her lip and started counting in her head."Uh...seven years."

"Wow." He whispered, "Have you ever tried to escape?"

She sighed,shaking her head."There's no point in trying.This place is heavily guarded on the outside."

"I'm going to try, and I hope you join me," He said looking at her

She bit her lip."I don't know...it's very risky."

"The worst they can do, is experiment on us or lock us up better. They can't purpously kill us." He said looking at her

Sighing, she nodded."Alright, I'll join you."

He smiled, "Come in at midnight."

She nodded."Alright."She walked back towards the door and peeked out to make sure no one was around.She quickly went back to her cell.

He closed his door hearing it click when it locked.

Sally sighed and sat down on the floor.She began to hum quietly to herself.

He sighed and paced around the small room
