Kristin Did anyone read Magnus's vow? Since this is set in the time of TMI, far past the days of Will and Jeb, we can say that Tessa is immortal. What does this mean for the love triangle situation between Tessa, Will, and Jem?

Lily I don't remember any vow and we don't know if Tessa is immortal.

Sarah Um what vow are you talking about? I don't recall ever seeing one. Also, yes there are theories that Tessa is immortal (some might say so, especially after talking to that Faerie at that one party Jessamine was supposed to attend; also it could be said she MIGHT be immortal b/c in The City of Glass...at the end, Magnus is seen talking to a girl with a lot of brown hair, etc), but no specific one is definitive. So we can't conclude YET that Tessa is immortal.

Lily That's what I meant when I said we don't know. The girl Magnus was talking to could have been anyone.

I know. Just clarifying.

Veronica It's a scene at the end of the book. Only given in a certain version.

Alexandra The City of Bones paperback from Barnes and Noble comes with an extra from CC in which Magnus pulls out a picture of the Shadowhunters from TID + Tessa and reminisces. He explicitly states that Tessa is immortal, like him, and also like him, fated to love a mortal. It's rather depressing really, but he definitely does say that she is immortal.

Gabby I read it, but can't remember much of it...

Christian You can also read the story Magnus Vow in the paperback version of Clockwork Princess. The story takes place right after the party at Magnus' place in City of Bones. And during the story, like has been said already, Magnus ruminates about Tessa and the problems of being immortal. If you can get a hold of it, I would recomend reading it.

Also, Cassie did in fact state that the girl Magnus is speaking with is Tessa at the end of City of Glass.

Haha. Sorry. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I wrote Jeb.

Kristin If you haven't read it there isn't much point in commenting on it.

Magnus says that Tessa is Immortal. Any thoughts on this?

Tessa is immortal. Magnus says so, but you have to read the vow.

I'd love to read that, I'm going to have to check now what edition of the book I have.

It been a while since I've read the books. I looked back. I was thinking only of CLOCKWORK PRINCE not of clockwork angel.

Blujeanbooks96 Just something for everyone -
a) Cassie Clare confirmed that Tessa is in fact in city of glass - but I don't believe she clarified whether she was in fact immortal or a ghost (which seems a little more likely since she just 'disappeared'... BUT
b) In CoFA (from Magnus's POV) we read a few little tid bits about Will, including this (when talking with Camille): 'He saw a boy with black hair and blue eyes like Alec's, heard violine music like silver water. Saw a girl with long brown curls and a serious face. In a world where everything went away from him eventually, she was one of the few remaining constants.' pg 259 pb. That last one 'girl with brown girls and serious face' must be Tessa. However, she is not classed as one of his 'few remaining constants' as Camille is, so what happens to her?
c) In Magnus's Vow, the short story (find it here: http://theherondaleboys.tumblr.com/vow) says this: 'Tessa, who, like Magnus, lived forever'.... *la la la* ... 'Tessa, who like him, had loved a mortal, someone destined to die as she was not'.
So yeah, there's something that might be of interest.
just thought I'd share that.
