Forest

Dominic wandered around the forest, trying to follow his nose, to try and smell the salty waves of the lake. After countless falls and bruises he found what he was looking for. With wide eyes he turned around and ran back. Jumping clumsily over the tree roots, his heart pounding. His breath came out in fast puffs and he smiled wide. He let out a whoop of joy that resounded off of the island's trees, birds flying and squwaking off into the air. He ran. And ran. Until he couldn't run anymore and he found his dear friend Calais once again. He bent over and gripped his knees saying in a rushed voice, his brow furrowed "I-I-I," When he couldn't get the words out, he stretched his back and took Calais' wrist in his hand gingerly before bolting off once again into the forest saying rushed and slurred "Come on, I found the most beautiful place!,"
