Darius felt helpless as the doctor talked about tings that he had no control over. He could do nothing to help Poppy, he didn't know her family and they probably knew nothing about him. He just nodded at the doctor as she asked him to call the academy for her, "Yeah sure." He wasn't sure what kind of reaction she was hoping for out of him, hopefully nothing spectacular because that just wasn't going to happen. "IS there any way someone could bring my clothes here so that I can change?" He asked, wanting desperately out of the hospital gown that he was still standing in. He glanced down at Poppy, his fingers found hers and he squeezed lightly, wishing that he knew what was going on in her head, or that he could wake her up with a kiss like in the fairy tale books children were told at bedtime. But this was real life and girls didn't just wake up from comas when the boy of their life kissed them, it was a ridiculous notion...right?

Poppy thought back to the first time they had met, nearly a year ago. They were in his dorm room, after a simple mistake led to a pretty quick makeout session. Pop thought he was intriguing but a bit of an ass, someone who just needed a little of love and attention. Of course, as she learned more about him her perspective changed, and they were both perfectly imperfect together. Poppy felt a small squeeze and wanted to smile. Darius was there, he was there, next to her, and she could actually hear him! Hearing his voice, however, made her long to be conscious, but no matter what she did she couldn't move.
