Numbering

I was wondering whether there was any general policy about numbering works that are a part of a series, but are not a primary work. For instance, does it matter whether a non-primary work is numbered as #1.1 or #1.5 or is it just a matter or preference? I couldn't find anything in the manual and have run into this a few times now.

In general, we use .5 for in-between stories. However, if there are more than one that fit between two whole-numbered items, then I believe the usual method is .1, .2, .3, etc.
