Jonetta (ejaygirl) What are the books you loved, hated or were just okay? Post any authors and titles you'd recommend based on your reading experiences. If you've created any reviews of specific titles, provide the link or write your review/comments here, whichever works for you.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) I recently read Gone Girl Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn by Gillian Flynn and was surprised that I could enjoy a book where I didn't really like any of the main characters. It's a fascinating story that I highly recommend.

Belles My favorite mysteries are the Flavia DeLuce books by Alan Bradley. The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie (Flavia de Luce, #1) by Alan Bradley They're cozy mysteries told from the POV of a very precocious and charming 11 year-old. Very enjoyable.

I like this book a lot and have the rest of the series on my tbr!

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) One of my top thriller/suspense novel is The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris . I loved the movie but LOVE the book. It gave me chills and Harris has this way of making his characters so realistic it makes it seem like a true crime book.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) I just finished Shadow Man Shadow Man (Smoky Barrett, #1) by Cody McFadyen by Cody McFadyen and it had one of the most chilling serial killers I've come across in awhile. Even better was the series namesake, Smoky Barrett, a female FBI agent heading a Violent Crimes Unit in LA. Very interesting and complex character.

Tracy (notrace) I recently read Triptych (Will Trent, #1) by Karin Slaughter By Karin Slaughter and I highly recomment it. It was my first read by this author and will not be my last. One of the best suspense/thrillers I have ever read.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) I second the Smoky Barrett series - very raw and gritty and as Jonetta says very chilling! I love how the characters grow as the series continues and we get to know more about them.

I love Karin Slaughter...great flawed characters, and suspenseful plots. I recommend you read her novels chronologically versus by series. They are all connected.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) Primal Fear by William Diehl is also another chilling book. The story still stays with me. It is a trilogy but I have not yet read the other two books. It was also made into a movie with Richard Gere and the fabulous Edward Norton.

I have that book and keep trying to fit it in almost every month.

I've been trying to get this done as a group read since you first suggested it.

I would be willing to vote for it as I need to reread if I plan to read the next 2 books.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) I just finished Tin God by Stacy Green and thought it was excellent. It is my second book by this author and I'm now a big fan of her writing style.

My Review
