A story over several generations centered around a small hotel in london with stone lions out in front. I believe it starts out with one sister traveling to london to go to her sister's wedding The story is about the connections between a mother and her daughters. It was written by a female author. One of the final scenes takes place in Kensington Gardens between the two sisters. Brompton Rd is mentioned and angels are mentioned between a daughter and her physician father.
