my interest in this book lies solely in hades/persephone relationship. however i only enjoy s certain kind of romance; well developed with actual chemistry ( ie intense, not necessarily sexually), strong female ( and male ) characters. in general, i don't want a YA romance; i don't want them weak willed and ready to bed each other the moment they set eyes on each other.

so, now that you have more or less an idea of what i like, do you think i should read this book/series?

Jena Yes! read it this series is relly well written, although i only speak for myself, but i found this series to be capivating! you'll end up falling in love with james and henry!! theres drama, love and action! trust me you'll love it!!!

Dione Sage I actually enjoyed this series. Although I wish I would have read, The Goddess Legacy (Goddess Test, #2.5) before I actually read book two. I am a sucker for back stories.
With that being sad..The Goddess Series is a YA series. From your description I don't know if you would really enjoy this. Especially because in my view (even though I liked it) the actual chemistry is a bit under developed.

Jenika Ioffreda The answer: NO! Don't read it!
The only good thing of the book is the cover.
The goddess test is one of the worst book ever. There was no chemistry at all between the two characters and the romance was totally rushed and not credible at all.
It was a waste of time reading it.
I love greek mythology and Hades-Persephone myth as well. But this book was soooooo bad.

Emily Meh. Half and half.

message 6: by Bre (new) - rated it 5 stars

Bre The first book was good, but in the second Henrys just being a jerk

Jennifer i like it. its just that henry could be a dumb dumb sometime and the sister persophne could be a..... i wouldnt say a "B"... but something near to that line.

Amanda L please dont read this. I love greek mythology, and i have to say this was a BIG let down. i read the first 5 chapters and i couldnt stand the characters or the plot.

Theresa Gail If you're interested in this for the Hades/Persephone relationship as you said, don't read it. While the relationship itself is made into a major plot point throughout the series, it's not the focus and the relationship is about Hades/Henry and Kate.

Siobhan Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini is a much better YA Greek Mythology book, and it even has the Hades/Persephone angle if that's what you're looking for. The writing is so much better also, although there are a few confusing elements with regards to blood housing.

Maximum Lorenz This is not really a book that went with Greek myth, but I loved the writing!

Maximum Lorenz Actually, to understand the book, you need to read The Goddess Legacy
