people kept bothering me and were like READ IT READ IT! and i was like no! its stupid! and i finally read it si=o the would shut up and i love it!!
my sister read it and all the ppl in her class, and shes like OMG blah blah. i thought it was gunna suck and be really like really bad. so i wanted my sis to read another series that i love. so shes like, ok as long as you read twilight. and then i got hooked. lol
I saw it in a bookstore one day when my mom agreed to buy me one book, and it had to be paperback. I'd seen Twi in there b4 and I thought, "well what the heck, I don't have another book to read, mine as well try to read this" so my mom got it for me and I read it in a day and I loved it. So we went to the store the next day and bought me New Moon, but, as it turned out, Eclipse was on sale(the hard-back and special edition w/ chap excerpt) so we bought that one too..this all happened in May of '08.

when my sister first told me about it i thought i was guna AHTE it. i didnt want to read it at all! then we traded books series and i was like ok fine ill read it. i wasnt totally hooked untill i read new moon. then i got hooked. lol

My friend was at girls camp with me and she would not put down this book twilight and she kept getting all excited when eclipse was coming out and i was like what is that book about, she said vampires and i was like DUMB till finally she made me start it and i was hooked

My classmates had a roleplay of it for our christmas party,they made me bella,i totally disagreed because I know nothing about it and the humors....That is when and how i dicovered it .I've read all the series already,and i so love the quotes in there!
I saw the saga in an EW issue, and then about the movie production begins. I thought it odd they were like doing a vampire book saga into a movie, it's usually b-movies or like the Dracula by Stokes or w/e. So I bought all four books. Lots of people were talking about the movie months later when it was finally made into the movie. I enjoyed the first two books, but haven't spent my time reading after I saw the first movie. I was like, wow, ok movie, but not what I expected, but wasn't totally disappointed either. I need to rethink to get on track for my reading the rest of the saga, so I'm stuck...
I just hadn't thought of anything to post in a while.It does get its share of the press. It gets more press than any other teen vampire book. This could be a saga worth seeing made in film everyone will like with the sequels appearance like the Trekers or X-men
I was at this camp and this girl who was in my cabin had the book. so i asked if i could read it lol it only took like 3 days
I didn't keep up with all the other Treks. I saw the first Kirk movies. I remember being at McDonald's back in the day they had plastic Trekker shelled Happy Meal. Does anyone know about this? It's a plastic plate with the Happy Meal with a plastic cover in the shape of a ship. They had these back when they had the original Star Trek: The Motion Picture in theatres. You could take the plastic ship you were served with your Happy Meal inside home and play with it. Yeah those were the days before toys in fast food restaurants and McDonald's out did themselves with that original burger wrapper. The McDonald's Star Trek wrapper.

Sorry it was just crazy random moment remembering McDonald's Happy MealsThe little avid reader, aka family realitive/friend who stays with us on the occassional weekend, was upset they didn't have all four books yet in softcover. She was totally upset around Christmas time at the local mall bookstore asking why the last two in the saga were hardcover. lol. Avid reader comes down from our country's capitol city to hang out for the weekend, and she's only twelve, and is my daughter's half sister. Her mom wouldn't give her the thirty something dollars for each hardcover. I guess the softcover is less expensive. I guess the softcover are due later in the year

My friend begged me to read it then my English teacher made me read it. I read it in one night, the night before the last day of school when I had to give it back. I was walking around in a sleepy-happy-zoning-out daze for the last day of school. It didn't help that I had a cold and carried a box of Kleenex around.
Oh, Jim? I think it's great that you come here for enlightenment, but could refrain from insulting us? I'm not saying that you do, you're allowed your opinion, but I don't think to lovers or haters should freak out on eachother and gag the other with their own opinions.

Well, bascially one of them is the hype it gets. People compare twilight to everything and I mean EVERYTHING. Plus, Edward creeps me out. I mean "I like watching you sleep." That's scary.
That part craked me up. How many people who seriously become devoted to a person who admits that he/she watches you when you sleep? It's completely ironic. :)
I agree. But seriously the relationship creeps me out. Edward KIDNAPS bella when he has to go away.
It makes it seem like he's Bella's father or something, and since they're supposed to be in love, it seems pretty wrong. Excuse my little rant, carry on.
This girl blanda always way rereading the books and i asked if they were good she FORCED me to read them and i fell in love (5th grade the fall of 2005)

yah dont worry jim, agree with you about thw whole edward thing. i dont like him. i love jacob. edward is really creepy, and an overprotective pysco that needs to chiil. but jacob is loveing, ha a sence of humor and knows how to live a littlebut i do not understand why u dont like it. i mean some people are really really obsessed, but most of us just like the books alot. we arent cray people who like change our names and think edward is real. why dont u like it?

I'm not really for Edward or Jacob. They both have their good aspects, but I'm more of a Fred and George Weasely person, myself. It's a different book, I know, but whatever.
I like Jacob more than Ed too but another reason is how dependant Bella is on Edward and how much she whines. She complains whenever someone gives her something or things don't go her way. Plus, the fact that vampires sparkle in sun bugs me. Vampire don't sparkle. They burn in the sun. Besides Edward claims he is an evil ceature but we don't have any evidence.
lol the watching you sleep part was creepy but i started laughing at it lollol because he dusnt want her to get into trouble with the other vampires and warewolfs, but i see what you mean, at least shes with people she loves when he kidnaps her lol
