Clary is stubborn. REALLY stubborn. It can be annoying at times but she makes up for it with everything else she does. Honestly, the books get better than this one!

Please don't read this spoiler if you've only finished CoB and not the rest... I don't remember which one this fits in because I read them all straight through...

OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! I was NOT expecting that one bit, so many plot twists my head practically imploded. I wasn't keen on it at first probably simply because it seemed pretty much exactly like TID but I reckon if I'd have read them the other way around I would have felt the same way. But ahh so good!

Will is still better than Jace in my opinion!

Okay - if that didn't happen yet then I really, really enjoyed this book. City of Ashes is probably the first time I had reservations about the series but it Clare makes up for it in the end!

I think the reason that I love these books so much is that Cassandra Clare is such a witty writer. She can tell the plot well, but then inserts all of these jokes that make me laugh out loud like a crazy person. Seriously, if I have a bad day I just come on here and read quotes from The Mortal Instruments and then I can't stop smiling.
