I'm almost finished I wasn't planning to read it much but I got so hooked up up into it. It's amazing!
Beatrice wrote: "COB is good, City of Ashes is better. ;) hahahaha! I will not give a spoiler."OMG YES! I 100% agree with this!! :) LOL!
WAH, no time to read! On my own and busy at work and then an impromptu night out last night and the night before - who knew I had a social life D: this weekend is my reading marathon after I've done things this morning!

Clary is stubborn. REALLY stubborn. It can be annoying at times but she makes up for it with everything else she does. Honestly, the books get better than this one! Please don't read this spoiler if you've only finished CoB and not the rest... I don't remember which one this fits in because I read them all straight through...

Yeah totally agree with you The ending was totally unexpected but it was a little freakish for me too.
I'm up to the part where (maybe a spoiler) (view spoiler) I'm about half way through, determined to finish it today!

Just finished.OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! I was NOT expecting that one bit, so many plot twists my head practically imploded. I wasn't keen on it at first probably simply because it seemed pretty much exactly like TID but I reckon if I'd have read them the other way around I would have felt the same way. But ahh so good!
Will is still better than Jace in my opinion!
Vicki wrote: "I was busy with a challenge (that my daughter and I won by the way :o)), so has everyone already finished COB? If not, I'll start it now."I haven't finished it yet hehe :P You can start with me!
I'm done. Maybe it was because I read a few fantasy books in a row that was why I was not very impressed by this book. I might try to reread before I read book 2 :)

Great :) I'll try to reread City of Bones (last few chapters) when I come back from vacation and continue to book 2. hopefully :D
Trisha wrote: "Ally, [spoilers removed]"Okay - if that didn't happen yet then I really, really enjoyed this book. City of Ashes is probably the first time I had reservations about the series but it Clare makes up for it in the end!
I think the reason that I love these books so much is that Cassandra Clare is such a witty writer. She can tell the plot well, but then inserts all of these jokes that make me laugh out loud like a crazy person. Seriously, if I have a bad day I just come on here and read quotes from The Mortal Instruments and then I can't stop smiling.
