connect new Kindle edition to actual book

I'm relatively new to Goodreads. I'm reading the Kindle version of a book that is only here as a paperback, so I clicked "add new edition" to make the Kindle version. It created it as a whole new book. :( Can they be combined please?

Question for you Koenraad... Is there a better way to create a Kindle edition of a book that won't create a duplicate book? Or did I do the right thing?

You did the right thing. A new edition is always created as a new book and has to be combined with the other editions by a librarian. Just keep adding editions that aren't there yet and ask here to combine, there will always be a librarian around to combine. :)

There are 5 editions of my first novel - and all show up together with me as the author (Kindle, paperback, audio, audio cd)

My second book is out now. The three audio editions are linked and I'm credited as author. But I can't connect the paperback and ebook editions - they are on Good Reads but I'm not credited as author and they won't link. I thought I was doing that and created a new book - which is making a bigger mess.
