And yes, Christine, from the reviews I read this is a tear jerker, so I think stocking up on tissues beforehand is a good idea. In Tera's review she wrote that she finished the book in tears on her couch.

I have started the book and am enjoying it so far!
I have too. This book is very well written. I am finding it kind of ominous and sad though.
I'm about 75% done - enjoying the story and feel it it very well written. However, even though it's a "coming of age" story, I can't help feeling it's written more for adults than kids.
I started reading last night. Totally sucked in.

I loved this book -- it got me out of a real reading funk I got into last fall. I can't wait to discuss!
I just finished the book... Cried for at least an hour like a big baby. My teenagers just look at me funny and wonder what is wrong with me!!!
For the first time in ages, I actually got a book from the library in time for a group read. Picked it up today and started reading immediately -- I was drawn in right away.
