Richard | 19 comments Please add the number of pages to ISBN # 0195202295.

The number of pages is: 351.

If you would kindly make another change while you're in the record, please add a subtitle: Its Story to the Reformation.

This is the Oxford U.P. British original edition. An Americanized version (with different ISBN of course) has been published in paperback by Eerdmans with the same number of pages and the same subtitle.

Thanks!

WorldCat implies that ISBN belongs not to a single volume, but to a three-volume set. Is that not correct?

Banjomike | 5524 comments I think the link supplied above is to the 3 volume set but the isbn belongs to the first volume alone (or a different set)

http://www.openisbn.com/isbn/0195202295/

and this is the second volume in the three separate volumes set (if that makes sense)

It made sense when I was checking them.

I looked it up on WorldCat by ISBN. http://www.worldcat.org/title/christi...

Banjomike | 5524 comments This is the one with the ISBN.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/48...

Using a naughty bookseller site (just to confirm the existence of books) shows that the three volumes have had different ISBNs.

http://www.pendleburys.com/?page=shop...
http://www.pendleburys.com/?page=shop...
http://www.pendleburys.com/?page=shop...

It also shows that is a combined single volume edition.

I can't find anything, except Worldcat, that suggests the ISBN the OP provided was a part of a set of 3 with a single ISBN. The sites that are selling that ISBN are not charging enough for a three volume, thousand-plus page hardback set.

Investigations continue.

WorldCat does sometimes have full series info for non-fiction sets listed under individual volumes. Sounds like this may be one of those times.

Could be. In any event it doesn't look like it would be a major screw-up in the data. There used to be an OUP mega catalog which included info on every book they had published from Day One (over 400 years). I can't find it but I'm sure it will be out there somewhere. Investigations continue.
