What do you use the library for?

I live in Portland Oregon, and we have an awesome library system. My local library is the "Hollywood" library, which does a lot for a library barely bigger than a three bedroom house. However, our "Central" library is a three story mansion of literature and information. I feel like I can participate in conversations about the plays of Shakespeare because the library had critical essay books on EVERY W.S. play I read. I also can speak basic Italian (Amo la mia biblioteca locale) again, all because of my library. The library is an infallible source of information, entertainment, and research ... what do you use the library for?

Thanks for posting, I have heard many great things about Portland and books, the great library system and the wonderful bookstores.
