Hi, I just finished this book and was thinking of all the unanswered questions in this book... One of the biggest ones I have is what happened to the rest of the characters in Phase 3 of the trials? We know that they put Thomas in that room for like three weeks, but I wonder what happened to the rest of them?

They probably hurt the others some how. Newt was pretty shaken up, and Minho lost a bit of his smart aleck...Bad stuff, I'm guessing.
Yeah, it makes total sense, how awful that WICKED's evil had no end to it! Has any one read The Kill Order?
I want to know what they did to Newt! Poor guy :'(
No kidding it's seems that they took the fight right out of him! Seems like he had already given up even before he found out about him really having the flare...
And how he was just so angry all the time towards WICKED, I mean, they all were but Newt was the worst :(
Really?? With all their mind games? Even when you find out that they want to cut Thomas brain, without really having any real proof of a cure? If anything I think that The Kill Order reinforces the fact that WICKED is anything but good... They were an extreme force bent on finding a cure at the cost of their own humanity.
No, I don't think so... I think it turned into some sick perverse game to them, they still didn't have a cure even after all the different things they put the guys through, and it was even implied that they themselves weren't sure if a cure could EVER be made, but they were quick to add that if it didn't work out and no cure was found, they would just "sacrifice" more people, to their sick twisted game and begin all over again. Also by the end of the book, you KNOW that everybody IS infected, (airborne disease) and so in turn doesn't it make sense to think that, even the drs and scientist working on said "cure" could be too far gone in their own insanity, to ever really create one?
Joe wrote: "I read the kill order and wicked does not seem as evil."
OMG HOW? WICKED did everything wrong! Everything! Mark sent Deedee into that flat trans so they could use her.... not so they could steal a bunch of little kids away from their mums and dads, then torture them by dumping them in a huge maze for two years where terrifying creatures roam outside so they could find out their BRAIN PATTERNS to find a cure - when they knew they were never going to FIND ONE IN THE END! OMG!! The ending made me SO angry.

Yup, my thoughts exactly!! I completely agree with you, I was completely upset at the end of The Death Cure, so many things left unanswered, and from what we can decipher, WICKED may still be playing with Thomas's head... Since, it's very open for interpretation whether you can trust Brenda...?
Your thoughts on this book 'Death Cure' are all very interesting. But wicked IS good. You are forgetting the fact that the Rat Man was the person who told Thomas that they needed to cut his head open to get his brain, not long later it is discovered that Rat Man descended into complete madness. This means when he told Thomas about the brain surgery, he was already turning mad. Chancellor Paige (The HEAD of WICKED) stopped the operation and told Thomas in the letter that they didn't need his brain, the data they had would work fine. So I think WICKED is good. Plus, anyones thoughts on Team Teresa, or Team Brenda?? :)
Also, on the topic 'Phase 3' I would also love to know what everyone else went through. I don't know if I can deal with not knowing their Phase 3 tasks, AND trying to handle not knowing Thomas's old memories. Bare with me, reading Kill Order next. Just came to this page to see if anyone came up with all the unanswered questions I had about the book. (Scorch Trials was my favourite)
