By 2:15 p.m. ET, the Dow was down 163 points at 7,303 after having ended the day Thursday at 7,466 -- its lowest close since Oct. 10, 2002.

What do you think? Lower still?

Félix (habitseven) I don't like your analogy, Librarian.

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments I heard rumor that the Cash for Gold commercials all over the place are somehow sponsored by the gov't.

Just passing on conspiracy theories as a duty to my country.

(Uh, Kev... you'll have to surrender those gold nipple rings too, bud. Sorry)

message 17: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments those are silver to match my belly button ring

message 20: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments I never thought about it, but those creepy cash for gold commercials are everywhere...

You know what other commercials are everywhere lately? The "did you take this drug? If you did, call us, and we'll help you sue" commercials. Those creep me out, too.

message 21: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments just think about it, there are people out there that just fill the little pre-paid bix things up with gold and UPS them to these places and then they send you a check. that seems like a safe, secure and totally fair way to exchange precious metals. do you think they have a wheel of fortune type device they spin and whatever number is lands on is what they send you?

"ddddddddddddd-ddd-d-d-dd---d---d---d-----d----$40"
