There are a few Zebras that were total wall-bangers for me, but I can only think of a couple that bored me.
by Katharine Kincaid has a beautiful cover (unfortunately the heroine's hair is wrong), but the cover is as interesting as the book gets. It's set in the during the Civil War, but unlike my fave Zebra, Rebel Vixen, not very epic. Bulging-pants Tiger is the hero, who has an evil conniving mother and a scheming slut panting after him. And there's the heroine named Freedom who...surprise, surprise, is trying to free slaves via the Underground Railroad. Despite the evil campy villains, there's not too much action in this one and it's not memorable.
Another book that I found dull was
by Veronica Blake. Despite its title, only the last chapter or two takes place in Texas. A gypsy princess gets kicked out of her tribe for loving an outsider, and this sounds like a good set-up, right? But the couple spent too much time apart in such a short book (about 350 pages).
For me Viking Rose by Ashland Price hits the nexus of boring and wallbanger. It features an emo-crybaby Viking who spends the entire book mourning his beloved dead wife, which is my most hated trope. I can deal with "other women" in a romance, but when the heroine has to duel it out with a perfect ghost that the hero still madly loves, that's a complete deal-breaker. The H/h travel together, have the dullest, weepiest relationship and don't even get together until a few chapters from the end. I hated that one, and I read it when I was much younger with a lot more tolerance for crap than I have today.

I thought of one! It is by my favorite Zebra author, Patricia Pellicane: Desperado Passion
I found it boring because it was rushed with no decent plot to speak of. If I remember correctly the book featured only sex scene after sex scene which were not good.

Royal Ecstasy by Robin Gideon, I recall, was not all that entertaining. I mean, I figure it was due to the heroine not being actually virginal by the time she and the hero came together, but also how utterly overnight they met and didn't waste anytime delving into the sexual aspect of the relationship. My memory isn't entirely accurate on this, considering the read took place some 16+ years prior, but I may re-read and discern whether or not my new 'eyes' would process it all differently.
