Nate | 2 comments The book, Takeover, Liberalism in America: Expressions of a Conservative, is listed as being authored by Christopher Phillips, and links to the author page by the author who wrote Socrates Cafe. While both gentlemen are named Christopher Phillips, the author who wrote Socrates Cafe is not the same Christopher Phillips who wrote Takeover.... There are other books tied to Christopher Phillips' author page that might not be his. It might be worth looking in to.

Pamela (waterspout) | 207 comments I am looking into it. Meanwhile, it would be best if you can provide some information about Christopher Phillips, author of Takeover.

Traveling Diva (travelingdiva) | 372 comments The Takeover author has his own website
http://www.christopherphillips.com/ and is a Goodreads author. I have now cleaned up his profile so only his books are there. (Christopher^Phillips)

The Bruce Springsteen book was published by a fan site, and the editor has the same name so I put those under another profile. (Christopher^^^Phillips)

Then there is the music-related author, who is again another Christopher Phillips. (Christopher^^^^Phillips)

Then I found a journalist who wrote Everyday Arab Identity who has a blog https://cjophillips.wordpress.com/ (Christopher^^^^^Phillips)

There also appears to be a photographer by the same name, and a Christopher Phillips that already had a profile with many historical biographies. I'm not sure these are the same people (I doubt it but can't find any proof to disambiguate further). So Christopher^^Phillips still needs work.

Koenraad (koenraadkelemen) | 6993 comments I found this link:

Some of the books mentioned there can be found in the Library of Congress too - and are attributed to a Christopher Phillips born in 1950.

I created a profile (Christopher^^^^^^Phillips) and moved these books there.

And I also found this:

http://www.aaa.org.hk/Diaaalogue/Deta...

and added the mentiond books to the profile.

The best I can provide is what Amazon.com has for the author information for Takeover..., which is the following:

Christopher Dale Phillips is a 45-year-old African-American male who is a Conservative Republican. The book, "Takeover, Liberalism in America-Expressions of a Conservative Black Male", is about the subject of liberalism and how Christopher feels that liberalism and the ideology of the liberal left has taken over America. In this book, Christopher discusses why he is a Conservative, why he is a Republican, and why he is against President Barack Obama. Also, Christopher discusses in the book the four main areas in America where he feels liberalism is prevalent and how he feels that Conservatives in America can take America back to the conservative principles that made America great.

Christopher Dale Phillips was born on February 6th, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York. He was adopted by Mr. Cleave and Irene Phillips and in the summer of 1980, he moved with his adopted parents to a small town in North Carolina named Elkin where he went to high school. He then went to Surry Community College and then graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1994. Christopher currently lives in Greensboro, North Carolina where he works in retail sales. Christopher has never been married nor does he have any children. Christopher is also very politically active.

Assuming that is correct, Christopher Dale Phillips, the author of Takeover..., is a black male conservative and Republican. The Christopher Phillips who's website is http://www.christopherphillips.com/ is a white male deliberative democracy specialist. As such, the author of Takeover... should not be linked to the http://www.christopherphillips.com/ website.

I hope that helps! Thanks to everyone for looking at this, also.

Pamela (waterspout) | 207 comments Ok, so I found a bunch of authors named Christopher Phillips here and if anyone's willing, it would be best to write on their biographies to differentiate them.

Other than that, I cannot confirm anywhere the Christopher Dale Phillips is the author of Takeover, but based on the genre of his books, I believe he is so I have added the book to him.

The author of 'Takeover, Liberalism in America: Expressions of a Conservative' is indeed Christopher Dale Phillips as you can see here:

http://books.google.be/books?id=TXGBB...

(I've moved the book specific data from the author profile to the book description field, leaving only the biographical data on the author profile. :p)
