We are going to have one thread for each book as now Goodreads has made a spoiler tag that you can use to put before anything that is a spoiler. Use your discretion as to what would be a pretty big spoiler and label it. Please put up to what page the spoiler is for.
Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the book as much as I wanted to. I found it a little disorganized and repetitive in places. However, I thought the idea of (view spoiler)[social exchange theory was an interesting one. This notion that an attractive trait in a friend or partner becomes irritating over time has certainly be borne out in many relationships I've seen. That was interesting food for thought. I also enjoyed the discussion of (view spoiler)[aversive foods. I love spicy food and many of my friends don't and can't imagine why I enjoy a burning sensation as meal accompaniment. It also brings to mind alcohol, though -- many people I know didn't enjoy the taste of alcohol when they first tried it, but they liked the effects enough to find ways to make it palatable. That was an interesting discussion, too. (hide spoiler)]
To create the tag simply do this:
< spoiler> Blah blah blah spoilery stuff < /spoiler>
*Take out the spaces in both of the spoiler tag.
It will look like this:
(view spoiler)[This is a spoiler. Spoilers should be labeled so you don't ruin books for others. (hide spoiler)]
