I am finally reading Marius so who else is to this part?

Listra (museforsaken) | 16 comments What do you think about Marius? Do you like his character? Why or why not?

I find reading the third volume after the second is like jumping out of Doctor Who's TARDIS at first. You just don't know what kind of world you're in anymore. But it's getting clearer the more you read.

I am not to far into this section. I am having a hard time staying focused because a lot of the book is the authors thoughts or statements on politics. I understand that is why the book is a classic but I feel like a lot of people and ideas are lost to me. I try to look up everything that seems remotely important but I cannot find information on many things. I feel during parts I am just trying to read through to get to a part I understand. Does anyone else feel this way? I am sure I will get through it and overall understand Hugo's views and the books meaning.

Marius is getting better. I am now researching the Second French Revolution :)

Listra (museforsaken) | 16 comments It's the June Revolution. You can look it up. Marius is actually a man of principles. He's not that bad. I love the Amis, really.

Book eight of Marius finally brought many characters together and was almost impossible to put down! I can't believe Marius even thought of saving Thenardier just from a note from his father!
