Christopher Cooper | 104 comments This was probably one of the creepiest stories I have ever read. The whole thing was just so hard to read (in a good way) that I couldn't imagine the ending being much worse...but oh, it was. The novella was like a kick in the stomach.

In short, I loved it. One of the most horrifying things I've read...and King did it without any supernatural elements.

I loved it too, especially that it was a story about humanity and its reality is usually much scarier than anything you can think up that goes bump in the night.

Jasmine | 16 comments I enjoyed this story more than I thought I would, it was a bit disturbing though. I guess not being a murderer I have a hard time wrapping my brain around the sexual release of, and/or needing the action to reach climax, but I don't live under a rock, and I know that that is indeed reality for some if not most serial killers
