I read online somewhere they may wait until the book series finishes. Other wise they would end up making like 12 films.
As all characters develop in a book/movie so did their gifts develop as they got stronger, so I don't see why there would be a problem including all their powers if they do go ahead and make the movies. I also saw the movie first which encouraged me to read the books and not all movies follow the novels word for word or chapter by chapter so be flexible and enjoy which story telling media which appeals to you.
Maybe because the Scifi fiction book was a bit unbelievable.its better to read than to watch. Im actually waiting for the 6th book release date
They should do a Tv Series on it!

Being 1 million short of tripling the original budget doesn't make this movie a flop. Yes they changed a lot from the book which sucked, but it was a good movie. In 2013 there was talk of a second installment but some of the main cast didn't want to continue. The film right were recently bought back. So a restart of the series may be coming. Hopefully

Just because you liked the move( I've not seen it), doesn't mean they made enough money for their box office to make another one.
I really want there to be another movie because I love the series and loved the first movie. I have watched the movie twice in the last 24 hours.

Now its 2016. I am getting old. lol Everytime I think of movie series/book series, i automatically think of this thread. Lol still no movie, or any rumors but a restart of the series would be nice. If not movies maybe tv. That one movie, I think its called mortal instruments, had a reboot. Not in theaters but on television. I have no idea if the tv show is good but I did watch the movie. Was pretty wack in my opinion. But that being said, there is HOPE. for something. Once the series is completed, maybe some film company will pick it up again. Because if you think about it. The story's timeline is gradual. unlike harry potter with the year-to-year timeline, the actors would've had wrinkles by then. Its a long series. lol at least a year and half to make each movie. The movies would take 12years to make. Maybe thats a reason they wont continue the adaptation. I haven't read the last two books..I am behind. I am going to start reading from the beginning because I forgot everything that has happened. See you next year fellow lorien peeps

I'm dying for a movie. I really am.
For everyone who says that the movie sucked or what not, I and many other people have said that the first movie influenced our reading the books, which is more likely the truth for EVERYONE. It took me like a year and a half to just read the book after watching the movie like three times. Today, I just finished the 2nd book and I am so anxious to get the 3rd one >.< Sad that they didn't make a second one though.. Six was hot ;)
damnnn its 2017 people! lol Ive recently graduated college. The wrinkles I had on my face have now reached my body parts..jk lolBut on a serious note...wow. I cant believe they still havent picked up on this gold mine. This book/story can make serious dough if it just had the money to jumpstart it. Sigh. I just checked out last years book from the library to start reading it. Havent had time to read it, but I guess thats adulthood. If I win the lottery guys, i promise to use some of it, to produce this story into life. It has everything it needs to become a franchise. It has the story, it has the imagination, it has the characters, it has the action, and most importantly, they have the aliens! lol Gosh growing old sucks. I remember that stupid movie came out when i was still in high school. Keep this thread alive people! I feel like this series is losing its buzz. Who knows??? Maybe Netflix will pick this ish up. I love when Netflix revives old shows. See you next year Loriens.
Oh God no. If Pittacus Lore allows Netflix to continue on the story of "John Smith and the Magical Numbers" I would have to destroy my knowledge of even reading the book. Netflix shouldn't be allowed to even produce their own movies, they always end up being alot worse than the originals. Plus, I doubt Netflix can afford to higher Alex Pettyfer, or any of the other originals. I'd rather continue to be pissed off about there not being another movie, than to have to deal with the fact that they made a bad version without even the original people O_O
You doubt netflix could afford alex pettyfer? the dude doesnt even lead in films. This was the only film he was a lead actor...lol so im pretty sure if they can afford actors like Kevin Spacy then im sure they can afford the cast of I am Number Four. And tbh theres really no other way for this series to be rebooted without changing the actors. The real actors are old as hell and the time span in the story is literally less than 2 years. And Alex Pettyfer, that girl from glee, number 6. they are all in their 30s. Netflix is the way to go. and besides, a movie cant portray all of the narrations from all the different characters. Movies are too short, and a series could get all of the details. And Netflix doesnt even remake films...they continue a lot of shows...they create a lot of shows. But the only films or projects ive seen them remake are foreign films. And not only that but Netflix Originals are really successful lol The Fuller House show has been getting so many awards. The Marvel series on netflix are really good. Apart from the latest Iron Fist one but other than that, I think they do a good job making originals. But yeah man, there is no way hollywood is going to make a movie with the original actors, let alone even make one. So this is the best chance there is. Or even HULU can pick it up. Or do you hate hulu shows too? lol
LOL Im sure Hulu shows suck too xD ;). Alex Pettyfer was lead in, `Beastly`, `Endless Love`, `StormBreaker`, and had a somewhat big role in `In Time. Plus hes a bloody british male model. Regardless of if Netflix can change it into a show or afford Kevin Spacy, Alex is like a legend in my book (Get it.. because of Lorien Legacies?) and Fuller House is nothing compared to Full House. I still watch Full House due to the fact that I was pissed off with Fuller House.
Basically people just expect everything to be exactly the same same as in the books 😴

2019! Lol. I agree. make a show already. its already been long enough. Netflix already remade a jungle book movie already lol hasnt even been 2 years. I literally only log in this site just to see the thread about this book. I havent even read the last 2 books. Someone gift me them on amazon. Happy New Years everyone!
There wasn't an absolute say in no movie its just that the sequel was shelved which is basically on hold. And if they went off of the books and had Michael Bay direct them then the movies would have and entire series.

They didn't make a second movie because, although I thought it was good... many others didn't and thought it was horrible, and because they didn't make as much money in the first movie, they thought that making a second one was useless.
