Why no movie??!!

This is an amazing book and I loved the series and can't wait for the new "revenge of seven" to come out. It is a major disappointment that there is no movie for this one too.

I think the movie adaptation was good but the one thing that got to me was the fact they could run out of power and had to charge each other up?
Well I thought that the film made some great mistakes but still people watched it because of the books, and I can't believe that they'd do the first one and then not carry it on. I think that they really SHOULD do the next films, if they're better than the first people would get back into it.
I agree that people would get back into it, but I guess the studio doesn't want to risk it or doesn't want to make the movie badly enough, sadly. I mean, there would've been pleas and attempts to make it if they really wanted to.
The movie I am number four was great they probably just aren't making another one. No in-depth explanation why. Sorry

Ahahah I have seen a hot alex pettyfer before :P he was in Alex Rider one of the BEST spy movies....in well my opinion atleast I just watched the I am number 4 movie and I haven't read the books yet but I love it......I love the percy jackson books but really hate the movies cause well.....I think THAT is the worst book2movie ever just saying

Well you see in the movie they made six fire proff but in the book she wasnt fire proof. In the book four was fire proof

but the book is AMAZING
The first movie was horrible. The storyline is nice, but not as good as the book, the shooting quality sucks, the actors look shitty...etc.
i think the movie was really good actually I'm sad that they aren't making a sequel i would have loved to see that i think that someone should actually discuss this with the producer if they thought that i am number four was a disaster which i don't think was then should do everything they can to make the next one even better!
I think the movie was good, but lacked a lot of info that was used in the next books. Personally, I love the books and I really want them to be made into movies but there would have to be some adaptations to the story:) all worthy for more Alex Pettyfer hahaha
I'd really love to just see a remake XD you know, one where they get the facts straight. But maybe still with Alex Pettyfer, or someone equally hot :P Still I really liked the casting.

The first movie was great but it was so far from the book that they couldnt follow. I think in a couple decades when movie producing gets even better, they will be able to have a better shot
The I am number four movie was really good i thought and i heard that they were thinking of making a second moive and that it would take a little longer to make because there a lot of different sense they have to make for the next movie they would have made it in 2013 but they put it on hold
Well its 2015 lol No movies or even an announcement of the movie. Or even rumors for that matter. Hollywood messed up big time. They could've been on the 4th movie by now making millions. The writers of the movie script obviously didnt have Pitticus Lore's consent lol Thats the movie business though. Always looking for the quick buck and not the big picture.(no pun intended) Its so corrupt. Keep this thread alive because someday 30 years from now, when all of us teenagers/young adults are old and wrinkly, they will remake the first movie. Until that day comes someone go make some babies so that baby can produce this thing already. lol
Everyone complains about the movie, and while I didn't think it was great, I didn't thing it was bad either. I mean, they could have done terrible, like Vampire Academy or the Percy Jackson movies, yet they still had most of the main features.

it's quite simple really, the first movie didn't catch the spotlight the way the directors wanted, so they don't want to risk making this one into a movie and no one watch it. They would lose even more $$. However I do believe they should at least put on dvd for people like me that loved the book.

I'm honestly curious if the author told them to shove it because they strayed so far from the book. Some of the things they changed seemed completely pointless to me.

However that to would cost money and no one is willing to spend if no guaranteed profit. 2 people is not a big enough market. : )
They did not earned lots of money with the first movie I guess, but I'm still hoping that they'll make the second book into movie or they could just make it into a tv series. yep tv series it will be cool just like The 100.

I really hope the producers and other people that worked with the first movie will see this. I mean, almost four years and people are still commenting on this post about wanting a sequel. That have got to say something. The first movie wasn't that bad, even though they could have done better. I think they should make a "the Power of Six" movie. The books are just so great, btw. Hey, does anybody remember that movie "cats vs dogs" or something? I used to watch it as a child, and then a few years after the movie came out they made a sequel. I think it ended up selling way better than the first. Maybe we've got a chance when it comes to the I am Number Four? Michael Bay, the director of the movie, says that this sequel has been "shelved". That gives me some hope.
Yeah the movie did kind of suck but the book series was pretty awesome at least from what I have read. i do hope that they make the 2 movie so that way they can bring in 9's character.
I saw the movie before reading the book and found it quite good, its effects are quite good too, clear that when you read the book, everything changes, but you can not compare them,but you can not buy them separately as movie deserves its sequel by qe the movie leaves open the possibility to an end, apart it is not the fault of the movie that gave him no time for the most famous books were made and there was a lot of publicity

however, if the first movie was bad, didn't live up to the book why would they want to risk a second movie? I kinda see their point in not making a second movie, i mean look at the Percy Jackson movies.
