I'm thinking of reading this book, but I haven't read the MBS trilogy. Should I start with the prequel or read the trilogy first? My first impression was that it would be good to read the prequel first. But then I remembered that as a kid I found the ending of The Magician's Nephew SO much more satisfying because I'd already read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. So what to do??

The trilogy was FABULOUS! Ben's favorite books, actually. I highly recommend them. thanks for letting me know about this next one - hadn't heard of it!
I read the triolgy first and then read the prequel and I think it would be more enjoyable if you read the trilogy first. You get to meet Mr. Bennet as everyone else met him; a mysterious funny guy in green(or yellow). Then if you read the prequel, you will understand more what's happening.
Yes, I think you should read 'The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict' first. It just shows you how amazing Mr. Benedict is, his childhood, and what he is capable of.
