Librarians cannot combine author profiles if one is a GR Author Program member. But staff members (like me) can.

Should be all fixed.

In this case there was also a book on the Shannon Alder profile which had Shannon Alder on the cover so I didn't add it to the merge thread.

The "messing up" that the OP is referring to is probably related to this:
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/6...

I had assumed that the original request to move the quotes AWAY from the Shannon L. Alder account was made directly to the Goodreads Employee since I could find no sign of a request in the groups. This seems to be confirmed by the GE (Paige). There was also a second request by the OP to move more quotes in the same direction which was completed by me. My response in the next posting in that thread was to confirm that the reversal of all those changes was actually correct and hopefully final. So far there has been no response from the OP in that thread so I hadn't done anything with the quotes.

But I do resent a suggestion of "mess it up". Unless the OP is talking about a completely different shambles in which case I appologise.

There is also another Shannon Alder here, with two quotes:

Yeah, I had not seen the other thread when I responded to this one. And I agree that each time she made a request -- to GR Customer Care or here -- exactly what she asked for was done.
