What a superb collection of book covers, all for a single book! If I were forced to pick a favorite I'd go with the green hills and white house. The faux postage stamp is also intriguing. I'm excited to read this novel after finishing a bloated mess of a vampire story. I need to get grounded!
The epigraph is direct and clean based on what I know of the story from the blurb. Bravo. I generally love maps in books and this one is stellar.
I am excited to jump into Fry, I think it might be just the palate cleanser I need.
I feel the same, Andrew. I'm struggling with finishing the last book in a series I started last month. It's the eleventh in the series, and is not moving at the same clip as the first nine or so. For some reason I've always loved 'pilgrimage' books, and I love old people, so I'm looking forward to finding out what Harold learns.
I have the first book cover listed. For me it is a cross between Wallace and Gromit animation and animation from Monty Python. The hills look like shaped shrubberies or the tip-tops of over simplified trees. It is weird and intriguing and awesome.I think all of the covers are quite good, which is rare for me.
Whenever there is a quote from The Pilgrim's Progress I feel uninformed and uneducated. It feels like one of those great works that I should really read but in some way the prospect of actually reading it feels daunting.
I love consulting maps in books and this one is a perfect combination of art, whimsy and geography.

Who would true valour see,
Let him come hither;
One here will constant be
Come wind, come weather.
There's no discouragement
Shall make him once relent
His first avowed intent
To be a pilgrim.
