Help! I'm looking for the author of a book called Miss Julie (it's not the play by August Strindberg because she lives to be an old woman). I read it as a tween and bawled for days afterwards so I can say it was angsty. I have no idea when it was written. The story take us through the characters' entire life and different relationships. The male love interest was married to someone else. I remember also that the heroine had made a hat out of a pumpkin (I know it sounds weird. She was fooling around). She reminised about her silly behavior in youth when she got older. I remember another thing at the very end but I'll wait to see if more clues are needed. Do you know where else can I post to see if anyone remembers this story? Thx!!

Nah, I checked her. It wasn't part of a series. The H and h met when they were younger and were in love but for some reason they never married. It's been too long for me to remember why. It takes them all the way throuh their lives. At the end, the H dies an old man and when they got him ready for burial, they found the h's picture around his neck on the original ribbon, now blackened with age, proving that he had always loved her. I cried something awful and stayed depressed for days. I'm even getting misty typing this now, that's how powerful it was to me. I hate that I can't find it.
I'm gonna help you find it, I know exactly how this feels. There are a handful of books I only remember the character names, or some strange event within the book itself, but not the title/author. >;/ I'm on it!!!
I got so excited until I saw that it was published in 1998. This was published in the 1980s or before. :-/
This is really stretching it... Farewell Miss Julie Logan by J.M Barrie?
This is a really hard novel to find! Do you have any other information on it? Sorry if this doesn't help.
