I think that she is leading us all to believe that one person or another has killed Sutton, but really- in the end, it's going to be the person we least expect it to be. Ethan maybe...

I believe its Ethan but he is a bit too obvious to us readers, even if he is not obvious to Emma.LIke the glove she saw in Ethan's room in TT&AL, i believe is the glove he used to move Sutton's car to be found, after all the car was found soon after/before that scene.
Maybe it will end up being a random character to be really surprising, like the girl in the tennis team, Clara.
