Yesterday we provided an article saying Madonna may be in The New Moon Movie. Now sources say that is not true, but she could possibly contribute a song for the soundtrack.

First the Jonas Bros. and now Madonna for possibilities on the soundtrack?? What next? I really shouldn't ask. These people are too popular and I don't think they really could provide a song/sound that fits. I mean the first soundtrack was not pop-ish at all. Don't get me wrong I think they have talent, but are just not right for this soundtrack.

I like Madonna, but she's a little too popish i feel for new moon. but i wouldn't be exremly mad by it if she was on. Hopefully she would write a new song.

Thank you! All my friends hate her too. But for the little girl i babysit for and my cousin loves her, so I have to watch it while I'm there. The show is ok at times too, much it gets old real fast. A lot of the episiods you can't watch more than once.
they play reruns of the show sooo much!

Different sources have been posting the news that Madonna (yes, the Queen of Pop) is in talks to be somehow involved in New Moon.
From Perez Hilton:

Rumor has it that Her Madgesty is in talks to somehow be involved in the Twilight sequel, although in what capacity is unknown.
What is known is that the Queen of Pop’s manager, Guy Oseary, was one of the producers of the first film.
Ryan Seacrest first teased the news of Madonna’s involvement, but he did not say if she would be acting in New Moon or just contributing a song to the soundtrack.
We think she could star as Queen of the Vampires. It probably wouldn’t require much acting on her part, since we’re not quite sure what exactly the secret to her eternal youthfulness is (besides, you know, hours of Photoshop).
