I have always loved Bronte more than Austen, but this book wasn't bad. I would have given this 4 stars if it wasn't for the ending. I didn't like who the girls ended up with. Elinor at least seemed happy even though I didn't think they were a good fit. Marianne, to me, just seemed like she settled. (view spoiler)[I thought Colonel Brandon was a better fit for Elinor. I never did understand how he could be in love with Marianne when he and Elinor got along so well and Marianne wouldn't give him the time of day. I know Marianne reminded him of his first love, but still. (hide spoiler)] I heard Persuasion is a good book for those of us who aren't huge Austen fans, so I will give it a try.
