Cherie (cheriereads) Creature Feature: Phantom of the Opera

This challenge was originally post in The Challenge Factory
Challenge Creator: Shellbelle

Suggested Duration: 1 month

The Phantom of the Opera) is a novel by French writer Gaston Leroux and has been one of the most popular stage musicals in the history of Broadway and London's West End. It has also had several movie adaptations, the first being in 1925 and the most recent being 2004. The "monster" the Phantom, Erik, is not a typical monster...he is a real flesh and blood person that has not only been physically scared but emotionally as well!

This creature feature is a little different. You can either read a book with the Phantom in it or choose a book that features one or more of the below topics...

•••Main Character is Physically or Emotionally Scarred
•••The Hero and Heroine are ill fated
•••One or more of the Characters are Musically Inclined
•••Has a Phantom or Ghost as a major character or element

You choose how many you want to read and then post your list. Or you can post as you go if you like.

This challenge will open on November 1

Ashley (ashleycw) Creature Feature- Phantom

Icy-Cobwebs-In-Space (readingreindeerproximacentauri) I'll do this one for November.
I read Transcend in October, which is sort of Phantom-based, but I won't count it.
Instead:
•••Main Character is Physically or Emotionally Scarred-Read Nov. 3: The Waiting Room
•••The Hero and Heroine are ill fated-Poison Princess-currently reading
•••One or more of the Characters are Musically Inclined-also The Waiting Room, but will find another one for this criterion
•••Has a Phantom or Ghost as a major character or element-The Haunting of James Hastings--currently reading
