Oh my... This chapter do go on a long time.

[Note to Melville: I got the white thing after the first two or three examples... Cut to the chase, 'K?]

Brilliantly read, thankfully, by Will Self. What do you think the photo is and/or means? The back of a discotec it looks like.

[ETA, note to self: read captions of pictures before posting.] ok it is the back of a disco... But what does it mean? It is white. Is that all?

I must have missed the photo you're talking about. The one for chapter 42 is of The Back of the Social Club.

You are officially ahead of me, Hayes, once again. :)

It do, it do. The word "white" was used 66 times in this chapter. I agree, Will Self did a very good job - but I could have done without the powerful emphasis on "white", over and over. Like you said, Hayes, I got it. Thanks.

In the picture, is that a sort of diorama in the parking lot, the sea maybe, and the white object sticking up Moby Dick?

Now, if MD is indeed an albino whale, would he/could he have the gray swirling and striping on the body that the earlier chapter described?

Kali I was entertained by the reading of this chapter. I think Will Self did justice to making it interesting with his emphasis. But I agree....cut to the chase Melville. I need to catch up this weekend. I'm on Chapter 50. Been out of town this week.
