Glad you stopped by and shared, Carly. I agree, the visuals on many games--particularly early ones--make it clear their target audience wasn't female.
Just because they occasionally hit females doesn't mean they were aiming for them. Most of the women I knew who played games back in the day did so in-spite of the marketing and gaming culture rather than because of it. A side effect of this was that most of the gamer girls I encountered were easily among the most devoted to the hobby, and far better at it then most of us.



Glad I did - I liked it. Kinda sorry to see it come to an end - I'm gonna miss those nerds.

I don't get into games as complicated as what they were doing, but I do get hung up on computer games - right from the late eighties when I bought my first one - a Tandy. I loved playing cards and stuff, with the computer characters.
Now, on FaceBook, I play the bingo and am especially caught up in the picture games - finding stuff in the scenes, like Seaside and Pearl's.
Those fantasy warfare things don't interest me though - the tits on the women look ridiculous.
